I need to miss a friends wedding because Im loaded down with summer exams. Do you think she'll understand. shes not a very close friend and I haven't actually hung out with her in over a year. However we used to be pretty close in high school. Do you think she'll get mad. Her wedding is in five days. I'm kinda giving her short notice that I wont be there.I agree that it is a short notice; however, I think if the wedding is local, you could take an hour break from studying. Now if you have an exam, then you have an exam. You might not be that close, but if they thought enough of you to send an invitation, you should go. I would take a gift to the reception, but let her know that you would not be able to stay but a moment, give her your blessings and hit the books.
