Cheap Wedding Packages

Having the thoughts of finally settling down can be very expensive. Imagine all the things that you have to buy like wedding dresses, wedding venue reservation, catering and even the pre-wedding parties. That is why it is hard for us to believe once we heard a cheap wedding package.

It would cost us more if we set these things separately. For example, we would pay for a venue, photographers, food and favors. These things will cost us a lot but with cheap wedding packages, you can have all of these in one package.

But how can you choose the best cheap wedding package? First of all, you have to think of what you need first. What particular service would you like to spend on to? Would you like to have a perfect reception? How about a perfect wedding picture? Maybe you want to spend more on your wedding gowns and dresses than the reception. It’s your choice.

After you have chosen the things that you want to spend more, then you can now set the remaining things to be included in a cheap wedding package. Usually, the things those are included in a package are the venue and its decorations, drinks, and entertainment and photography.

Once you have the primary things settled down on the package, it is now time to settle the minor add-ons that you may want to include in the package. For example, the package that you have chosen are good for 50 people but you want to invite 100 guests then you can add up the extra charges for having additional people. There will also be instances that the couple would prefer to extend the time of the reception to the venue. You can list down the things that you want to add on the event.

But remember that most of the time, something cheap has a catch. You may have saved a lot on catering and wedding packages but you will find out that the food tastes awful. Cheap does not mean sacrificing your satisfaction. So in order to avoid these issues, it is advisable for you to check all possible sources of cheap wedding packages. Check the menu, the time allotted for the event, how much you need to add in order to accommodate more guests. Have an ocular inspection of the venue, food, sample photos, check the decoration and presentation and the likes. It will also be helpful for you to consult forums and ask opinions from those who may have tried these packages. There is nothing wrong in checking everything first before jumping into a package and end up strained on the day of your wedding with all the issues that you have overlooked.

Looking for a cheap package would require you to be meticulous. Without checking everything or putting it in place, you might find yourself spending more than usual. Plan right ahead in order to avoid problems in the future and enjoy your event instead of being stressed out because of the extra charges that you are not expecting.

you can make the stands out of two by four and and boards painted whit attach ivy spiroling down the poles. place food table on the wall closes to the door you can have that set up to ease transition if you wont have a lot of help.

after the wedding go out side for wedding pictures and to throw the bouquet. this will give your cew time to set up tables. come back in and begin your reception.

  16. QUESTION:
Can someone please tell me a cheap way to have a wedding on a beach?
I want to get married somewhere in europe as I live in england? I would like a list of everything I need to do and the cheapest it could possibly be. What will I need to do if I brought a wedding package? I really need help so I can get the ball rolling!!

    • ANSWER:
I would say for definite to make things a million times easier on you, you need to marry in a common wealth country. I am in the UK and I booked to get married in Mexico at the moon palace this is luxury personified BUT in documents and translations etc it was £500 alone that was without the cost of the holiday and wedding we needed our documents legalising by a solicitor (god knows how much this would have cost) then sending to the common wealth office to put some magical stamp on (£25 per document) them translating into Spanish, then you also need a HIV test at each when you get there….. it all adds up. I threw a massive dicki fit on the travel agent and asked her why no one had bothered to tell me this….. Any way i changed it to Kenya and because it is a common wealth country all i need is an affidavit to say were single and that’s it !!!!!! we send copies of our documents to resort 12 weeks before we go and take the originals with us, we have to be resident in the country for 3 days and away we go.
Tell every one as early as possible that you plan on getting married abroad so if people want to come they have time to save up, try and get a deal from the travel agent where the wedding is included in the total cost, if you can’t get this deal i would recommend contacting the resort yourself and booking it direct i have done this and saved £150.
The most important thing though is getting your documents sorted (it is a major pain in the ars* but worth it) check, check then double check again because i have found out the hard way that as soon as you tell the travel agents your plans all they see is pound signs and forget vital information !!!
Then you need to think about if you’re having a reception when you get back….. But that’s a whole other question haha.
Good luck hun and i hope you get your dream wedding!!!!

  17. QUESTION:
Is it possible to have a nice wedding for under 00.00?
My boyfriend proposed to me last month, but he is in Iraq, and I think he is going to do it again when it comes home in a couple of weeks just to make it special. I don’t know how much money he wants to spend, but I don’t have a lot of friends and family so I will not invite more then 20 people. The thing is I have tried everything to try and find a cheap wedding package and I have only been able to come up with one http://www.weddingchapelbythesea.com but I would like something a little more formal or intimate. It does not have to be in the state I live in which in NC, but does anyone have any ideas of a cheap wedding package where you can get everything for 00.00 but no more then 00.00. The website I included can give you everything except the reception for 00.00. If you want the reception it’s 00.00. Please help.

asap get the book –bridal bargains.

the cheapest invitations are the single panel black ink ones. you can decorate them with an embossing tool, stamp of your choice and embossing ink and powder.

the cheapest reception to have is a desserts only reception in the afternoon at like say 2pm wedding, 2:30 reception (between meals.). if you do this –be sure to state this on the invitations.

      costco makes wedding cakes

you can create your own programs with a word program typing up the text on two sheets, then copying them onto one page on a copier and then reducing the size down to a sheet of paper and copying that onto NICE paper (all of this at kinkos) –and then fold it in half so it’s like a book and decorating with the same embossing stamp as the invitations (see above) on the front and back.

cheap favors –tagboard with same embossing design again attached with ribbon and tulle circles with italian almonds

      best of luck to you.
I would write a list of the five things you want most for your wedding and have him write 5 things too and you can cut corners on the stuff you don’t care about. for me one of the five was it was really important my family was there. that I had a wedding-looking cake. that I have a wedding dress and veil. . . stuff like that.

      best of luck to you!

p.s. I forgot –you can burn music onto cds and hook a 5-disk player up to rented speakers for the reception and also have the ceremony music burned and someone paid to play them at the right time. . .

What are the best cruises with a wedding package?
My boyfriend and I are considering doing a private wedding in Jamaica (or elsewhere) next spring. I want this to be beautiful and memorable, but it doesn’t have to break our bank! Cheap but good cruiselines with a wedding (or honeymoon) packages please!

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
They all do. I spent a lot of time researching this last year for my sister’s wedding. Look at the cruises pages. Royal’s is quite complex. The price changes based on which ship, which month, and which island.

Carnival and Holland both use this company

      http://royalwed.com/

Here is a link to Royal’s pdf

      http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/experience/html.do;jsessionid=0000KEhAdYNfxrYU7nvZ-E8wNcn:13hldio7n?exCode=624

      http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/weddings/weddings.aspx?icid=CC_Footer_68

Jamaica is a port of call (both Montego and Ochos) where you could have a shipboard wedding. Some ports do not work as you must be there 2 days in advance to get your license.

My sister got married in St Thomas. The ship weddings charge per person to provide cake and champagne and basically it works out to about per person. Since we were having more than 8, it was simply going to be too much.

We all went on the cruise with her and she got married Wed in St Thomas. I booked through this company http://www.islandweddingservices.com

They were amazing. They did the bouquet, booked the site and the minister. All we had to do was get off the ship and take a cab to the beach. We did the Bluebeard’s Beach option and it was gorgeous.

Cruise deals are great right now. The price of the cruise was about 00 per couple. The wedding costs were about an additional 0.

Pick your date first. Then go into a travel agent and talk about it. I recommend AAA. If you are a member you can get lots of literature to look over.

I’m talking of wedding packages particularly in the Philippines; those that include the reception, hotel, flowers, and bridal entourage in the package.
I tried estimating my own projected wedding expenses vs. getting an all-in package and realized that all-in packages are actually cheaper than having to plan everything from scratch. But will I not regret the quality of delivery?

What is the cost on Singapore wedding?
I am doing a project on wedding and is due next Mon (11 may). I need to complete the project by this week. I just want to know the cost on wedding package, bridal car, dinner banquet, bouquets and etc. You can give me cheap or expensive wedding costs. This is URGENT, and if i fail this project, i get a low marks for this project.

    • ANSWER:
You don’t have to give the right answer, close enough will do. Bridal gowns, car, dinner banquets, bouquets are needed by Chinese ethnic couples. So pick up the phone and call any bridal salon for their package quotes. From budget to above average prices. Next call any cheap Chinese dim sum restaurants for quotes for 15 tables wedding. Call the 5 star hotel and ask for quotes for 30-50 tables. Drag for boyfriend along if needed to convince them. Wear something loose at the waist to give them the impression you are really in a great hurry.

  25. QUESTION:
Looking for a cheap overseas catholic church wedding.?
Me & my fiance are looking to get married in a catholic church abroad as an elopement, either just the two of us or a very small number of guests. Problem is that most overseas wedding planners cost the earth and aren’t really geared to a couple on a budget looking for something religious but simple. Does anyone know of any resonably priced wedding packages? We are based in London.

    • ANSWER:
Do you have a specific location/country/city in mind? Some additional information would be helpful. My daughter and son-in-law eloped in Italy. It cost them about 00 for the church. officiant, fees, marriage license etc. It covered all the ceremony costs including a translator and coordinator services to organize everything. It was not cheap but was worth the costs to make it easy.

  26. QUESTION:
Who has had a beach wedding in fiji, vanuatu, samoa or new caledoina?
Hi i am looking to get married in fiji or anywhere in the south pacific, would like to know who has experienced or had a beach wedding in fiji? wanting to go on an island where its very tropical, white sandy beach etc… and are the wedding package deals pretty cheap or expensive? would appreciate every ones help thanks :)

    • ANSWER:
Yes I got married at Sonaisali Island Resort Fiji in 2005. I was married in a wedding bure and had a choir, celebrant, flower girls, warriors – the works. We also had a lovely candlelit dinner for two that evening. It was a beautiful location and for 7 days in a beachfront spa bure including the wedding, photographer and flights was just over 5 grand. It is a very inexpensive way to go all out in a beautiful place. Just be sure to register your wedding when you return to your country of origin as the wedding will only be registered in Fiji.

  27. QUESTION:
    Wedding venue/caterer pricing help?
When a wedding venue says their cheapest wedding package is 5 per person, but it includes a lot of extras like open bar with premium liquor, tabled and butlered appetizers, three course meal, etc. Will they go lower than the 5 if I request to not have the extras like the premium liquor or tabled appetizers?

Basically my question is when I see a place quote their cheapest package as 5 a person and I know that I want to spend less than that, should I assume there is any negotiating on the price or level of service when I meet with them?

I haven’t met with any of the places yet, but want to know if I should even bother with the place I know are out of my price range from their website or information they sent me via email.

    • ANSWER:
It may vary by venue. But since they call it a “wedding package”, I assume that you can probably get a “non-wedding package” for less than 5…without all the extras. Vendors see brides coming and they create these all-in-one packages just for a wedding because most people believe that weddings=big bucks. But most if not all venues do events other than weddings. So you should be able to negotiate and create an ala carte package and even request to see their “non-wedding packages”.

So to answer your question, just ask. Tell them what you desire and see what happens. Though keep in mind that some venues/vendors, don’t do business below a certain dollar amount because based on their service/product, they would not make a profit if they went below that price.

      Good luck and congrats.

  28. QUESTION:
Is Las Vegas The only place with those Wedding Chappels?
My friend is going to fly to Las Vegas To get married.
They have really nice wedding chappels, I got married there.
Is Vegas the only place in the US that you can get married like that.?
Like very cheap, with those wedding packages that they have.
My wedding cost us 400$ not including the hotel and flight. lol

    • ANSWER:
Las Vegas is not the only place in Nevada with wedding chapels. The reason there are more wedding chapels in the State of Nevada is because the requirements to get married in the State is one of the most flexible and easy. As a result more people go to Vegas because its easy to get married there. The reason it’s cheap to get married in Vegas has to do with the law of demand and supply.

  29. QUESTION:

  30. QUESTION:
Where is a good place on Long Island to get married for cheap that includes everything?
Im looking for a place that has wedding packages that include everything from DJ to Photography, if one exists, since i think it would be cheaper then getting them all seperate. Is there such a place? My budget as of now is like 4,000 but id love to do it cheaper. Anyone have any amazing places for me to check out? Im planning on looking into the Watermill but im thinking they are crazy expensive!

    • ANSWER:
it is very hard to find an all inclusive package in a place like long island. you will probably not be able to find one that includes the photographer and may not the dj either, but those are pretty easy to take care of on your own.

for pictures you can really cut the cost by having disposable cameras (which come in various colors to match your wedding) on the tables so your guests can take your reception photos. most people love to do that and you will get some great shots. that leaves you with only the ceremony to photograph and chances are you know someone with a great digital camera who takes good pictures and would be willing to do it for your wedding. all you have to do is supply them with a list of shots you would like to have…like bride with flower girl, bride and mother, bride and maids, groom and groomsmen, various family shots….etc.

for the actual wedding venue, here are few places where you can get the place, the officiant to perform the ceremony, the food, the cake and the flowers for one price.

      http://www.gardencityhotel.com/weddings_and_events/weddings_and_events.cfm

      http://www.milleridge.com/weddings.cfm

      http://www.cornucopiacruise.com/weddings.asp

this one is a harbor cruise. very nice but rather expensive (80 to 100 per person) so you would have to keep the guest list very small…which for 4000 you will probably have to do anyway. and they do not provide the flowers.

it is actually much cheaper to find a nice venue in a public park( cost about 100 to 500 depending on which park you choose and how large the building) and hire a caterer (figure an average of 20 per person for finger type food) and do the rest yourself. you can order your flowers from a wholesaler online…and they always arrive fresh and pretty. for an average wedding, you might only spend about 800 on all the flowers including decorations and table center pieces. a wedding officiant can be found for about 300 so for 4000 you can do your own nice park wedding (indoors or out) and have about 100 guests. for information on renting public park buildings, contact your local parks and recreations department.

  31. QUESTION:
Stressed in planning a destination wedding?
We just got engaged two weeks ago and wanted to have a destination wedding. We figured it would be cheaper and all around more fun for both our families to have it in Riviera Maya. The problem is, I have no clue where to start. I looked around for wedding packages and looked around for airfare. Is there a better way in planning a all-inclusive wedding package (airfare, hotel, wedding, reception)? Or should I find an all-inclusive vacation and book a wedding package separately? Any help, advise, recommendation, comments are appreciated.

    • ANSWER:
Go to one of the sandals resorts and book a honeymoon stay, everything is all inclusive even gratuity. When you book a stay you can have the wedding package added in and depending on how long you stay it may be free. They do that just browse their site they have many different locations, and they take care of all the planning.

I live in phx az and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good wedding package for the wedding and reception that is cheap and affordable? ??????? We might have around 75 guests or so.

    • ANSWER:
Sorry, I don’t live in AZ either, but I have a few suggestions. You don’t have to stick with your home church (which not everyone has) for an inexpensive wedding. Have you considered a brunch or matinee (lunchtime/afternoon) wedding and reception? Usually vendors will give you their lowest rates for booking your event during their “off times,” when they normally don’t make any money. Plus, they can still host another event in the facility later that night, so it doesn’t hurt the vendor to give you a break. As an added bonus, brunch or lunch foods are usually a lot cheaper than dinner! This may be my opinion, but the one brunch wedding I went to (very low budget, fairly small) was actually classier AND cheaper than the evening lower-budget weddings I’ve been to. Something about lovely fruity drinks (mimosa, anyone) paired with fluffy Belgian waffles and fruit…..Loved it.

If you really limit the amount of alcohol you serve at your wedding, you will save a ton of money — and prevent embarrassment when Unruly Drunken Guest starts stripping on the dance floor. Also, really weigh your priorities: Do you want a designer gown? Is it really important for you to have an awesome photographer and a very artistic wedding package? Are you willing to scrimp on the honeymoon, or would you rather have a more expensive honeymoon with a cheaper wedding? Can you order in-season flowers instead of exotic or out of season flowers? Do you really need to pay for a professional driver to take you to and from the wedding, reception, hotel? Can you reduce the number of people in your official wedding party (maybe skip the flower girl, ring bearer, only have a maid of honor/best man)? You may find that you don’t really care about, say, having acrylic nails and a limo….and by providing some of your own services, you just might save enough money for that DJ you love :)

My suggestions for venue: City or county owned park (outdoor weddings = natural, permanent “decor”), community center (yes — some are very classy and wedding appropriate), theater (preferably not the movie variety), or even restaurant/club/lodge. Of course, if you have a home church, that’s another option — just make sure you know their policy on hosting weddings. Some churches don’t allow flash photography; others insist that all members are allowed to attend any wedding they host, with or without an invite.

  34. QUESTION:
What is the best route to go…? Wedding suggestions…?
My fiance and I have been together just over 2 years and just got engaged recently. Just after getting engaged my fiance who was working two jobs just lost one of them, so we don’t have a lot of money but we are ready to start our lives together. We plan on having a small ceremony and reception in April 2011. We don’t have a lot of money but we still want to try to have the nicest ceremony and reception getting by with spending as little as possible. One thing to consider is all of my friends and family are from out of state, so if they are going to be spending money and taking time off, we don’t to have such a cheap wedding that it’s almost not worth them spending all the money to come. Our guest list is between 30-50 people tops.. again very small. I’m starting to look at where to have the wedding but I’m having trouble.. We want the ceremony and reception in the same place so no one has to travel, we are having it here in Illinois so we want everything indoor because the weather is too hard to predict here, we don’t want to have it in a church because we don’t belong to any churches (we know you don’t HAVE to belong to a church to marry in one, but we still would prefer not to). So we thought a hotel wedding would be good because they offer packages, and then my out of town guests could stay in the hotel where we have the wedding and maybe even get discounts on the rooms. But I’m starting to wonder, is a hotel the cheapest route to go for a nice inexpensive wedding if the guest list is so small? I’ve been looking at different packages and they all still seem so expensive or they have a requirement of 75-100 guests minimum. Do the wedding packages include decorations, or would we still have to decorate everything ourselves? Is there cheaper better places for smaller groups that I should consider? Help please, I’m completely lost….
We are in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, we would like to avoid the city but we are opening to have it pretty much anywhere in illinois..

    • ANSWER:
First of all, you are terribly wrong about something………to imply that you have to make your reception worthwhile for the guests to come all this way is the wrong attitude.

A guests job at a wedding is to witness and support the marital union between two people, not to be wined and dined at the over expense of the bride and groom. I have never, ever, turned down a wedding invitation because I did not think it was “worth” going to.

If you want to have your receiption at the banquet hall of a hotel, be prepared to spend quite a bit of money. On top of about to 5. per plate, there is a banquet hall fee that sometimes is a few thousand dollars.

I understand your desire to have the ceremony and the reception along with the guest overnight stay in the same location. However, this is your wedding day and you have to do what is right for your budget.Getting married on a Friday night or a Sunday is automatic savings.

Perhaps your selected hotel can accomodate just the ceremony and you can have the reception locally at a restaurant.

Thirty to fifty people is a very managable crowd. See if there is a restaurant that has the facilities to accomodate your reception. Most restaurants who can accomodate a small crowd will be happy to reserve the room for your reception. And, their is usually no additional cost for using the restaurant other than, perhaps, an added 18 to 20% gratudity.

I went to a wedding reception consisting of about 50 people in a restaurant and it was lovely. The bar was close by for those who wanted cocktails. The per price per plate fee was way lower than a reception/banquet hall and the food was delicious.

Get out the phone book and make some phone calls in your area. That is the only way to find out what your choices are.

      Good Luck

Cheap Wedding Photographer in DFW, Texas????? PLEASE help.?
I need a wedding photographer (who doesnt suck) but isn’t going to charge me an arm and a leg.

I am a photographer too (on the side) but some of these prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

packages starting at 00? are you nuts?

Does anyone know a good but inexpensive photographer in Dallas/Forth Worth?

    • ANSWER:
I’m not from your area but thought to tell you what I’ve done so far…

Check your local craigslist and since you’re a photographer, be very specific about what you want and don’t and tell them to give you customized quotes.

Also in the general or community forum of craigslist, ask the same question and ask for referrals from people that live in your area. You’ll probably get alot more responses than here.

Also check your local wedding show websites, some of the photographers listed on their directory are not easily found in google.

      All the best.

Here’s a quick search on craigslist:

  36. QUESTION:
Recommendations for best all-inclusive resort for a cheap price?
I’m looking to renew my vows on a beach at an all-inclusive resort somewhere in the Caribbean. I’m thinking Cabos or Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc…

Do you have any suggestions for great wedding locations at a reasonable price and good wedding packages?
I’m looking to spend under ,000 for my wedding and accomodations.

    • ANSWER:
Weddings down there are very inexpensive. My sister got married on St Thomas and the wedding itself was only about 600-800. It’s the all inclusive that will be difficult.

Try pricing Sandals, Riu, Almond, and Secrets. Those are usually the most common ones and therefore are more likely to have lower prices.

      Good luck!

  37. QUESTION:
Cheap wedding in San Diego, CA?
Looking to have an inexpensive but elegant wedding in San Diego. Thought about having an hors deourves and cake reception to save on cost. Any good venues or ideas? Every place I’ve looked at has packages with meals costing anywhere from and up per person. That is too much.
Does anyone know of a venue that will cater for just hors deourves and drinks?? HELP!!!

    • ANSWER:
If you get married in a park (like San Dieguito for instance) they have you bring your own catering and they are nice and cheap! And then whenever you choose someone to cater your wedding, you can order hors deourves and drinks =]

I’m also trying to have an inexpensive wedding in San Diego! We’ll both find something I’m sure lol =]

  38. QUESTION:
I’m a wedding photographer, and I’d like some original names for the packages I offer. Any suggestions?
So many other local photographers have package names that suggest that quality is completely tied to expense. They may call their 00 offering the “Emerald Supreme Package,” but give their cheapest package a name like “Marble” or “Granite” or “Dirt.”
I want my customers to know that they’re all going to be getting the same high quality service, no matter the size and number of pictures they request. I also want the package names to be memorable, and if possible, have something to do with our studio name (Little Fox Photography).

If you have any suggestions, I’d be very grateful.

    • ANSWER:
Well – I call my three packages (which are based on coverage times) Basic Coverage, Full Coverage and Complete Coverage with extra prints and albums sold a la carte. I’m maybe taking a different approach here (I’m trying to be very direct and plain spoken with my clients who are maybe a bit tired of all the hype), but I can see your point.

What about something a little offbeat – Monogram, Signature, Premier or the old standard – Silver, Gold, Platinum. Good luck!

  39. QUESTION:
What’s the cheapest, nicest destination wedding? Preferably a nice beach setting. Just me, groom and 2 guest?
My fiance and I want a quiet, but pretty beach style wedding. We’ve looked at Sandals packages but they seem expensive. Where can we go to find a legitimate, good priced wedding package on the beach? We want to marry next October. My sister and her BF will be our guests. Ideas? Should we just see a travel agent?

    • ANSWER:
yes see a travel agents sometimes there are deals that arent on the internet and mostly there will be deals during the weekdays you might even get upgraded to a bettter hotel suite depending where you go but yes definetly see agent they will have info like stay 2 nights and 3 one is free or things in that matter Good Luck nothing is not cheap now a days you gotta start saving especially if you are flying allot of airfares are going up and luggage is getting taxed more and more make sure that you check airline so you dont get stuck paying allot I like southwest you dont have to pay for more than 1 luggage not yet at least good luck!

  40. QUESTION:
Ways to have a cheap wedding? What do you think of this caterer?
Buffet packages include Home Baked Rolls, Appropriate Condiments,

For this price they also supply chafing dishes, linens (for the buffet table) and tableware that they claim is high quality plastic that looks like china. (yea right / I would probably supply my own plates and silverware)

I think that .99 is a great price. Even at 100 people, which is doubtful that is costing ,300. Which is alot yes, but to not have to worry about cooking yourself I believe is worth it. I am trying to have a wedding for well under ,000 or well under ,000 if I can do it. Also, with such a menu, what kind / style of a wedding should I have? I eat from this restaurant often so I know their food is great already. Any ideas / input please!! I always wanted a beach wedding OR a “fall” wedding.

    • ANSWER:
Beware of pricing, because after that they will tackle services fees, clean up and set up fees, table side service fees, champagne service fees, cake cutting fees, gratuity (normally 18%) and taxes; so your per person becomes per person when is all said and done and on top of that, hall rental may be additional. beverages and beverage service is additional to the cost. Plastic ware? Yikes.

Read your contract before you sign anything.

  41. QUESTION:
How to find the cheapest wedding venue?
We are on budget and would like to keep costs down. What are the cheapest options for having the reception? We have smallish 1bed flat so can not have it at home. I looked at what packages hotels offer and it is too expensive. Also do the venues allow to take any food leftovers home in plastic boxes (pity to throw away once we have to pay for it).We will marry in Nottingham,UK or possibly Madeira.

    • ANSWER:
There are many Cheapest ways for Venue like local parks, museums, churches or community halls etc.. My suggestion for you, go for Court marriage or church marriage. It will more cheapper then any other and you may invite people after marry at your home. You may save too much money also.

have a nice day and nice dream.

  42. QUESTION:
i got a email from a wedding planner with price, is this cheap or is it considerd expencive?
    heres the email
Thank you for getting back to me with the further details.

Based on this information, I think the following wedding package would be most suited to your requirements. Of course, you may add any further services you wish.

    ‘Rock Solid’ Wedding Package
    Includes:

The first step would be to book the date with a deposit of £200 and this will secure the date for you.
i also want to know if this is a good deal should i go for it? im from uk

    • ANSWER:
For everything included I think it’s a good price. If you are wondering why not go off and see what you can find to book all those things separately – that will give you an idea of if the price is fair although i suspect that much of this is taking the hassle out of it – one booking and you’re done.

  43. QUESTION:
I need some cheap wedding ideas.?
Florists food ideas anything where do i start ? when i want it simple beautiful but very affordable i mean 0 for a 3 tier cake is way to expensive and 0 for one bunch of flowers is not my idea of wise spending. If anyone can help me with wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses flower girl dresses the whole package, what i cut out etc HELP HELP HELP.

    • ANSWER:
My husband and I did a budget wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL and elegant for 125 people.
      Things we skimped on:

Invitations: We purchased simple invites from Target for less than .50 an invite and printed them using pretty calligraphy font on a computer, everything down to the envelopes. They came out GREAT and no one knew the difference. Also, instead of including response cards with postage to mail back, which can get pricey. We included an email address for online replys and two phone numbers. We got a lot of response online and it was a big hit as it saved us money and everyone else the time of filling this stuff out and sending it back via snail mail.

Location: we rented an empty ambulance/fire hall and decorated it to our tastes and it came out better than most fancy reception halls. The GREAT thing was, because they do a lot of weddings they had things we borrowed free of charge such as tables, chairs, a wedding arch, a mailbox for wedding cards, a cake table, et. Invest wisely and make sure you can get the most for your buck out of the location. (We did “winter wonderland” and got married in january so a lot of snow and things were half off, that helped a lot. And it turned out BEAUTIFUL.)

Alcohol: If you want a really cheap alternative, don’t serve it. But if that won’t fly with your guests you can do what we did. We served only beer, wine, margaritas (most people pick one specialty mixed drink, that was just our choice) and we made it self serve. Invested in a wine fountain, Beer Keg and Margarita machine (rented of course) so the need to pay a bartender did not exist. If you are having it at a hotel hall you can opt for a cash bar where the gyests pay for drinks but many people consider that bad taste. If thats not an option either, cut down the amount of time in open bar.

Transportation: My husband and I were very active in our local ambulance squad so we rode away with our bridal party in an ambulance and everyone thought it was great when we pulled in lights and sirens. Be creative. Do you have a friend with a vintage car that you would look awesome in driving away? Can you use something creative? Like our ambulance idea. Or does it really matter to you to have it at all? Also a cheaper option is renting a cool car for the day and having a friend drive for you and have the bridal party arrive in regular vehicles, I assure you, its your day, they shouldn’t care.

Photography and videoography: We asked a friend who studied video production to do that for us. And for photography we asked a photographer from a local paper to photograph our wedding, and it was at least half off. But don’t skimp on these things if you can’t get lucky like we did, these memories last a lifetime.

Cake: We asked an experience culinary student (graduating and we sampled her work beforehand) to make our cake and it turned out wonderful and was also half off. Students do these things for grades so they are very careful and much, much, cheaper than traditional bakeries.

Attire: My husband wore his army dress greens, but a good alternative is to wear a suit instead of a tux, all our attendants did and it looked just as good.

Flowers: I picked “in season” flowers and went with a smaller bouquet instead of a larger one and it was beautiful and elegant. And carrying that for a while when its heavy can get on your nerves anyway. Also, for any child/ junior attendants, get carnations, not roses, they hold up much better and are cheaper. I didnt use roses in anything but picked in season cheaper flowers that looked really neat in my boutineers. For the bridesmaids: My bridesmaids carried a single white rose with a purple tip trim and it looked very elegant and the floral shop jazzed it up and added stuff so it didnt look so plain. But your girls wont care what their flowers look like.

Favors: If you have a theme, go practical and go cheap. Our theme was winter, as I said. So I found porcelin ornaments for less than .50 each online, and I ordered custom ribbons off an ebay sellar with our names and wedding date and hot glued it to the snowflake, they were a huge hit and looked expensive when they weren’t. Another option is a “candy buffet” look those up online, they can be neat. But if you do that get smaller bags/boxes so the candy lasts.

This and that extras: I bought my disposable table cameras online from ebay from a woman who didnt use them at her wedding, same with our bubbles and cake cutting knife and I found a beautiful authentic crystal headpeice second hand for 0 less than in the bridal shop in excellent condition. We found our “unity candle” and ring bearers pillow and white basket at a craft store for 60% off what they were in the Hallmark store. Look online, its a realy great resource.

As for food, never skimp or not have enough, thats not in good taste. We really wanted an evening reception s we just picked less options and less expensive options. Like 2 meats, 2 starches, vegetable, bread and salad and that was it and people had plenty of selection. And we did it buffet style which can be hit or miss because you eliminate the need for staff to serve them but you have to over estimate food since people serve themselves a lot more than a waiter would. We also got our own appetizers and desserts. we got cracker trays and shrimp cocktail from sams as well as some hot options a friend threw in the oven right before the reception and it cut down our costs. In addition to our cake we bought cream puffs (which were a HUGE hit) as well as some bakery cookies and it cut down our costs significantly.

Negotiate, Negotiate, Negotiate: We had our cater throw in a carving station and table linens in at no charge, work with them, haggle and see what you can do.

Another option: My friends for their second marraige had a “pot luck” where guests brought a dish and it was CONSIDERABLY cheaper. But only consider this for a informal wedding.

Another option for food: Have a breakfast or brunch reception, its thousands cheaper and gives you the day to celebrate with your signficant other just to yourselves. And if you do that you only have to serve champange for alcohol for the toast.

We borrowed a lot of things from friends, enlisted their talents and looked around the internet and looked second hand before buying new. I even found my dress more than half off. (I payed 0 for a 00 dress because it was “last season,” well, it could have fooled me, it was beautiful and white so what did I care…) Suggestions: For little things you need, search dollar stores or walmart or sams club before going strait to a wedding store. Dinner mints in white packages that would be .00 for 500 at walmart are now .00 for one hundred because they have a wedding bell on them. Shop away from wedding sections as much as possible. There is no difference. we even did things like asked the ambulance hall if we could clean up ourselves and took money off the rental.

Entertainment: Never skimp on entertainment if you would like your guests to have a good time. An option to consider if you are having trouble affording it is to make the reception shorter. But get an experienced DJ that will match your tastes in music and will do the whole thing for you, you don’t wan tto have to tell your DJ what to do on your wedding day, get an experienced person whether it be a live band or DJ. Some DJ’s charge less in the “off season” (thats why we got a discount on ours) and some bands will work for considerably less also during the off season as the amount of wedding gigs are more scarce.

Which brings me to my last option: Have a winter wedding. Or a fall or “off season” wedding. (Not spring or summer) You cna usually find everything from your wedding dress to catering and entertainment at a discount.

By the way, the girls should be paying for their own bridesmaid dresses and they went to JC Penny’s and bought matching prom dresses for under 80 each but I’ve seen them as low as if you are going less formal. Flower girls parents should be paying for her dress, and just as an idea, my girls and guys wore black and white (Black dreses with a white strip on top.) and the flower girl wore a cute little white lace topped dress and black satin bottom that she could wear again. For the flower girl, honeslty just tell the parents a certain color and style and make it something that they can dress her in again. It doesn’t matter what color, the kids are so darn cute either way.

Hope this helps, have a happy wedding!!

  45. QUESTION:
Anyone know a good way to get a cheap package deal for going to Las Vegas?
I am the best man in a wedding and I need to plan a trip for 12 guys going to Las Vegas leaving from BWI (Baltimore) and staying somewhere decent like Luxor or MGM Grand.
Expedia and those other ones don’t really get good deals for booking for a lot of people. I feel like there has to be a way to get a good package deal for like 5-6 rooms and 12 plane tickets

    • ANSWER:
Call the hotels directly. You can book a block of rooms for a good price. Airlines do not give group discounts. The ticket price is the ticket price.

  46. QUESTION:
Do you regret your choice of who you hired to be your wedding photographer?
My husband is a wedding photographer in So. California and his cheapest package is 1,500. We run into MANY brides that tell us that they LOVE his work but they only want to spend about 500-1,000 on a wedding photographer. Of course some of them are on a budget and they have no choice. But, many do not see the value in hiring a good photographer.

So, my question to you: Have you hired the wrong person for the job and now regret it? Is there anyone unhappy with their pictures? Did you hire a cheap photographer and get great or terrible photos? I was hoping to have some personal experiences to share with those couples who can afford a good photographer but don’t understand the importance in how those pictures will matter in the years to come.

I understand that just because a photographer charges more he is not always better. But generally, with in reason, you get what you pay for.

    • ANSWER:
yes, i hired a photographer that i wasn’t at all happy with. the really good reasonable photogs were booked on my day. so i settled for one that i thought would be ok. he was a little cheaper than some. BUT a highprice does not guarantee a great photographer either.

i wish i would have splurged for the best photographer in the area because after all it is a special day. i feel for you all though — dealing with brides is the absolute WORST. they are all crazy. and you do get what you pay for but of course they all want everything cheap and then complain later.

i advise you all having a really nice portfolio in your office and online that they can see your quality. price it out to what you honestly think it’s worth. and if the brides don’t like it, screw them — they can find someone cheaper. tell them that you all feel that you do a quality job and that’s what it costs to use you.

  50. QUESTION:
Is it cheaper to get chair cover and sash separately from the wedding package?

    • ANSWER:
Sometimes it is cheaper, but you’ll have to do a bit of homework and work it if is actually cheaper for you.

I was looking into chair covers a little while ago and discover, if you’re happy to do a bit work, then you can save money. Some companies will deliver the covers and you put them on yourself and tie the bow yourself. With others, you can the covers even cheaper if you iron them too! That’s a lot of effort though, but if you’re on a budget, it’s worth it as it will cut 25% or more off your costs.
