Personalized wedding favors have become very popular in recent years, particularly as the range of items which can be personalized has increased. Many couples like to hand out favors which include their names and wedding date or which include their own personal wedding monogram.

Advances in home computing and the availability of quality color printers and graphics software means that couples can create personalized labels, tags, stickers and graphics to add the their wedding favors from their home computer. This means that they can coordinate their favors with other elements of their wedding such as their wedding theme or stationery relatively easily and for little expense.
Ribbon is a popular way to add personalization to favors. Printing your names etc on ribbon is a cheaper way to add personalization and it doesn’t detract from the favor itself. Printing names and dates directly on the wedding favor is available from many stores but may actually put the recipient off using it and in some cases can appear quite tacky How many of us would display a photo frame printed with someone else’s names and wedding date on, unless they were close family?
In some cases though printing on the favor itself doesn’t detract from its usefulness. I personally think that personalization should be kept to a minimum and should be done with due thought to the intended use of the favor after the wedding. A bit of printed ribbon around a box or bag is usually sufficient and some guests may even keep it to add to other memento’s of the day.
If you had a wedding monogram designed then chances are you have used it on your wedding stationery and possibly had it added to your wedding cake decorations. Coordinate your wedding favors by using it on labels, tags or stickers which will add unity between the various elements of your wedding. You can also have it iced on cookies or cakes or even onto chocolates if you so wished.
