Wedding invitations are often overlooked in wedding planning as important because it is a small cost compared to the price of the dress, renting the venue and ordering the catering. However, the wedding invitation should be considered one of the most important aspects of wedding planning because without the invitations, there would be no guests.
Wedding invitations set the tone of a wedding. The colors often match and the theme of the invitation can also reflect the mood and attire of the wedding.
One of the most refreshing and unique options for wedding invitations is to get photo wedding invitations. Couples can choose their own backdrop and theme for their own invitations. Couples can have a western themed invitation by getting a photo out in their favorite nature spot while another couple can get a photo of themselves in Las Vegas before they elope and use it as their Las Vegas wedding announcement. Thus we see that photo wedding invitations can have more creativity than most other wedding invitations.
This is because a photo wedding invitation has a uniqueness that no other invitation company can duplicate. Creating a photo wedding invitation or having a photo wedding invitation professionally printed guarantees that no other couple will have the same invitation and style as another couple.
Photo wedding invitations can also be graphically designed to fit a couple’s style or theme needs. Many couples now are hiring graphic designers to design the photo on their invitation with special graphics or photos or even borders to make the photo invitations even more special.
Photo invitations sometimes have a stereotype as being not the most luxurious option, but now with many photo invitation companies available, wraps, gilclear covers, translucent overlays and ribbons prove otherwise.
Photo invitations also have the option of color changes. Sepia tones give photo invitations an older feel while black and white often give photo wedding invitations an elegant feel. Graphics designers can also touch up any photos to make blemishes and red eyes disappear.
Oftentimes, couples who get photo invitations also purchase photo wedding favors which can be purchased at the same company as the photo invitations and the photo wedding favors are just as unique as the photo wedding invitations.
Photo wedding favors consist of little trinkets to hand to guests but also reception gear like a photo ring bearer pillow, a photo unity candle, and even photo guest books.

I want to make my own wedding photo invitations, but i cant find any software that has templates for this?
I just want to find a nice wedding template were i can just add my picture and write the details of my wedding. can anyone help? thanks
-
ANSWER:
if you buy the stationery that you want them printed on, it often has a template you can use that will work with the specific product. it’s not the best design program, but for something that simple, you could use word or pages and simply adjust the document specs to the size you want.

QUESTION:
Please i need advise about Photo Wedding invitations. what kind of scene to take?
i am 25 and my fiance is 27 and he was my highschool sweetheart. we are vvvvery in love and that’s the theme to our wedding: everlasting love (in white and silver).
would it be formal, or a capture from everyday life?-
ANSWER:
black and white candid from everyday life. If you go posed, I would do something like him kissing your neck, nose or forehead. Or just a shot of your hands as you’re walking hand in hand…or a shot of an old couples hands who are walking hand in hand. Formal poses don’t really say “romance”.

QUESTION:
What would be a good idea for a 25th anniversary gift that involves engagement photo wedding invitation and?
a recent photo of them i was thinking about like the invitation in the middle and it all be framed but i need some ideas i want it to be special and unique please help????-
ANSWER:
You could do a trifold picture frame.
It is all in the matting for the pics and the invitation. Do some research, and see what you might like, and consider getting it done professionally.
There used to be 2 frame shops here is town, they are both long gone, all we have close is Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. Give them both a visit, and wait for coupons, Michael’s has sales on framing a lot. sign up for their e-mails.
And both craft stores sell frames and matting for you to do that yourself.
Perhaps choose the frame about where they got married, or the style of the wedding. did they get married by the beach for example, or live by one now. Do the frames in a beach theme.

QUESTION:
Where can I find good deals on wedding invitations, guestbooks, photo albums, cake knife and servers…?
wine glasses, and decorations.-
ANSWER:
oriental trading.com
sign up for email and such and get a percentage off and free shipping in most cases.formal-invitations.com
for cheap invites. you have to put them together; it’s easy. i got the marigold pressed invites with the veluim overlays with envelopes and the rsvp cards with envelopes, hole punch for like 120 for 100 invitations (with shipping) normally they would have been like 400 to 500 dollars. the velium paper can be printed on from your computer and they give tyou the guide lines to cut them up. 4 per sheet.ikea.com
wine glasses are like 5 6 bucks for a set of 6i had my flowers (not my bouqet however it was done buy a independent florist) done by the local supermarket. it was only 400 or so for 20 centerpieces, guys flowers (7 groom my dad, and the 5 guys) , maids flowers(5) , mothers’ corsages(2), and petals for the flower girls. i would price around because one supermarket was like same price as an independent florist where the same supermarket in another town was the price you see above! be specific and bring any supplies (i had my flowers set in galvanized buckets, for dollartree, wrapped in orange organza ribbon for my autumn harvast themed wedding)
i also hit up the local dollar stores (dollartree was the best) and got candle holders 4 for and i frosted them with glass froster.
sign up for email coupons for local craft stores and purchase any supplies including guestbooks and such for half off sometimes.
i got my cake knife and servers at the lenox outlet nearby. if no outlets check ebay.
have fun planning!

QUESTION:
Am looking for a photo developer that will print a small photo (about 6cm by 6cm) for wedding invitations?-
ANSWER:
cheapest way.Take the picture to target or wherever is closest to you that has one of thoose photo machines and you can scan your pic or put in your camera card. Then print out how ever many sheets you need (you can get them as small as you want)
These arent going to be cut out though (the reason why it would be much cheaper) so i would take them to staples or office max and use thier paper cutter.I dont think a photo store can do pics that small, they dont have paper that small.
This would be cheapest because its all do it yourself.

QUESTION:
How much should I charge for wedding invitations?
I am starting a small business making wedding invitations. i can do whatever the people want – drawing of the church, pattern, layout, photos etc. I dont want to overcharge, so how much would you pay for say 100 wedding invites?-
ANSWER:
It would depend on how intricate the design was and how nice the paper was. Printing straight off your computer will cost less than letterpress, so you also have to consider your printing method. How much is each invite costing you to produce? You want to make a profit, but not overcharge people for something that it’s expensive to make.
The average for a regular invitation set seems to be in the -6 per set range. I know people who have paid up to per set for boxed invitations. Pocketfolds usually retail for -10 per set. I’m currently shopping for wedding invitations and am looking more in the -3 price range, but I only want a flat-panel invite with a regular RSVP card or postcard. I’m looking into recycled paper and plantable invites, and that seems to run around -6 per set.
I would browse on etsy.com for invites that look similar to the ones you plan to create, and see what the going rate is.

QUESTION:
Does anybody know of any good web sites for creating my own wedding invitations?
I want to put a photo on the front in a love heart with bells and doves etc surrounding it-
ANSWER:
Why do you think you need a web site to create your own wedding invitations? If a somewhat more casual look is acceptable to you, it can be done on your own computer most likely. You can go to a kinko’s, or a print shop and buy some Skytone Parchment Paper-8-1/2 x 11 in your choice of color. Matching envelopes in size A4 are also available.
Take one sheet of plain paper and fold the top down to the bottom. Then fold it left to right. Viola! You now have a 1/4 page “French Fold” that is used for invitations!
Use this plain sheet of paper to create a “Mock-Up” of what you want on each panel. When you open it up as a flat sheet of paper again, you will see that some of the panels are right side up, and others right side down. This is the way you would design it on your computer page, dividing the proper dimensions down into quarters using guides.
If you are going to use a color photograph, I would recommend staying with the very light, neutral shades of parchment so that the color of the paper does not interfere with the color of the photo. Actually, you could do this entire design in Photoshop easily. Or you may want to set it up in Illustrator or a page layout program first, and then import it to Photoshop to add the photo.
You can find artwork anywhere—just do a google search for what you want. If you really get stuck, email me and I will supply you with some things. Over the past 25 years or so, I have designed many of these for people who wanted what they wanted! It was always fun and special—they loved doing it.
Only drawback is that you will not have the raised print, which is called Thermography and is also very expensive, because of the photo. I did my daughter’s invitations (without a photo) in calligraphy, had it printed on see through vellum, and then we mounted them on beautiful handmade and decorated paper which showed through the vellum. That was a lot of work—something a mother would only do for her daughter.
I hope I have helped you. Best wishes and congratulations!

QUESTION:
I am wanting to make my own wedding invitations. Is there a site where I can do it myself and have them sent?
to me? I want to put our photo on it or one of the venue. I know I can get them from stores, but I want these to look awesome. thanks-
ANSWER:
I made mine with stamps and colored ink on my printer, it was pretty
You can get blank cards at a craft store and things to put on it there too. You can either print your picture right on them or use glue to put them on each of them (I had a small wedding and this was a fun thing to do for each of my guests, but if its bigger you may not want to do all that work). Congratulations!

QUESTION:
for my wedding, i would love it if the guests brought in a favorite photo to help us with the?
begining chapter of our new life together. i want to start a scrapbook and also use it as a guest book/wedding wishes/personal memos, instead of using a traditional book. does this seem tacky to ask for a photo in the invitation? or should we include as a side note in save the date cards?-
ANSWER:
The best thing to do is have someone take photos the day of the wedding. You need something like this:
http://www.adessoalbums.com/
Instant Photo Guest Book
That would be more appropriate than asking guests to bring a photo along.
I tend to think it is inappropriate to ask guests for anything . . . money for a gift, or food for a potluck reception, or photo for the guest book. It is just inappropriate to ask.
You want or need photos? Then have someone stationed by the guest book to take them.

QUESTION:
Does anyone know where I can buy discount Jean M wedding invitations?
I’m particularly interested in ordering the “Holli” invitation and the “Heart Photo” thank you card.-
ANSWER:
Most of their invites are exclusive to Jean M, so your best bet is to take advantage of their free shipping offer and sign up for their email offers. Occasionally they will have some sort of sale or offer through that. Call their customer service too and see if they have any specials coming up or know anywhere you can get similar items. A lot of invitation sites are connected to other sites or stores where you can get similar, or the same items cheaper. Good luck!

QUESTION:
Making my own wedding invitations…Help?
So i’m going to make my own wedding invitations and just have some questions and if you have any tips for me that would be great! Ok so i’m thinking i like the invitations that have like 3 pictures or so of the couple and also has the anouncement on the card as well so what kind of paper would i have to get for it? And would i be able to print it off just my inkjet photo printer? And is there any software or anything you found that made the designing easier? Thanks!-
ANSWER:
1. You can by precut wedding invites for home inkjet printers at places like stapes and michaels. Michaels has a lot of wedding stationary kits that include all the rsvp and other stuff you’d want to include. These kits are usually compatible with Microsoft word or publisher. Or you could go an alternate route and make your own.
2. You could still use something like publisher and design them in there. For paper you’d want cardstock 65lb or higher (the weight indicated the thickness, higher lb= thicker). There are lots of places to get cool types of cardstock with different finishes and textures. Then you can print them out on your own printer.
3. You could design the cards and bring them to a place like Kinkos or staples and have them print out the cards with their laserprinters. I find that color looks much more vivid and clean when you use a laser printer, especially if you are using a paper color other than eggshell white.I designed my own invitations (I do graphic design for a living) and just broght the file to staples and had them printed out in no time. I think total i spent about on each invitation package with included; 1 save the date, an invite, a rsvp card + envelope with postage, a card with directions, and a card that had pertanant info like how to get ahold of us, our parent, different places to stay etc.

QUESTION:
Opinions on including engagement photos with invitations?
I’d just like to get some opinions on including engagement photos with wedding invitations. Do you consider it a must? Is it a nice add on? Do you appreciate it when you get an invitation with a picture incuded? Are you completely indifferent? Do you just thow them away after they’re on your fridge for a few weeks? My current dilemma is my wedding invitations should go out within the week (we’re at about 8 weeks out), and while we had our engagement photos taken about 4 weeks ago, we’re still waiting on getting them back (we called her last week and she told us we’re at the top of her priority list…). She told us she would be finished with them within 2 weeks, and that obviously has not happened. I had originally thought I would include them in the invitations, now I’m just getting antsy to just send out the invitiations on time and forget about the pictures (and the money it would cost to either order or print them). Any thoughts?
-
ANSWER:
I think that a picture would be a nice touch! But under the circumstances it sounds like you are going to have to improvise. I would suggest you send out the invites without pictures for now. After the wedding, our ( I mean your) thank you cards can include a picture of you and your hot fiance! If you don’t want to wait until after the wedding to send out some photos, You can mail them separately. I hope this helps!!!

QUESTION:
cute or tacky wedding invitations?
again, If anyone feels like im being repetitive lol
I am having a small intimate wedding, 20 guests
I have limited fundsI came up with this idea for my invitations and I wanted to know what people thought
Im quite the expert at photoshop (although for this project I just needed basic knowledge) Im planning on taking a photograph of my fiance and I either kissing, or walking down the street together, basically the best picture we can take and fade it out so its only a shadow but the picture can still be seen then print the words of the invitation on onionskin (very thin paper, nothing to do with onions) and lay it over the photo. Ill attach the photo and onionskin with those photo corners that don’t actually stick the paper to the mounting.
The mounting will be thick wedding designed paper
that way after they recieve the invitation they can easily take it apart, save the actual invite and then keep the photograph to do what they want with it. (since its all family they would probably want a picture of the two of us anyways)I don’t know if anyone actually followed that, but if you did is it a cute idea or tacky?
-
ANSWER:
I think that sounds really really cute. Sounds like it will cuter than my invitations I paid over 0 for! I love that idea!

QUESTION:
Ideas for a photo / photography themed wedding?
I am thinking about having a “photo” themed wedding since both of us are photographers. What are some great ideas to encorporate into the event? Invitations, save the date, decorations, favors, anything really????-
ANSWER:
You could have a groom’s cake that is shaped like a camera. You could also get those thicker acrylic circles that are an inch or two wide (i think you can buy them with small holes in them) and tie them on clear string, spacing them apart. It could look like glass lenses? Sorry trying to get really creative here!
Maybe your colors could be black and silver? It would compliment any decorations nicely.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
can someone please tell me how i can make my own wedding invitations and print them myself?
I also was wondering if someone could tell if you could take a regular photo and dress it up in the brides and groom outfits. If so how do I do this-
ANSWER:
I got everything I needed to make my own invitations, RSVP cards, thank you cards, place cards and also program paper at the link below. Everyone thought they were professionally done. I even made the printing one of the colors in the invitation paper. After you click on the link, go to “products”. I’m sure you can find something you like. I can send you the files I used to do mine if you email me with your email address. Yahoo Answers doesn’t let you send attachments. My email address is n8ivca@yahoo.com. As far as the picture… I have no idea, but you can probably do it with PhotoShop. Best Wishes!http://www.southwestannouncements.com/index.html

QUESTION:
Adventure themed wedding ideas?
I want my wedding to have an “adventure” theme.
Myself and my fiance both love nature and the outdoors and I think it would be very fitting and fun for us.Ideas so far:
wedding flowers – wildflowers
Invitations would include a “treasure map” of the locations
Stars projected or hanging from the ceiling at the reception
Wedding photo album would be “our adventure book”, similar to the one in the movie “UP”and then I’m stuck. Does anyone have some suggestions on how I can incorporate an adventure theme into my wedding?
Thanks for any suggestions, they are appreciated!
-
ANSWER:
I am usually very against “theme” weddings, but I actually like this one. Just be careful, don’t let it look cheesy like a kids birthday party. All of the ideas you have so far are great, leave the movie “UP” out of it other than the adventure book.I think centerpieces are another way you could incorporate the theme, in a mature way. Try getting globes (i’ve seen some at Marshals and TJMAXX for – depending on size) or glass lanterns, and surround them with some simple flowers instead of doing the traditional “flowers in a vase” thing.
Have a nice, classy (and probably small), leather or dark wood chest (also available at those stores) with a slit in the top on the present table, for cards and gift certificates instead of the typical fabric box. This is your “treasure” box.
For your guest book, you could have a map instead of a book, and people can decide where to sign. Somewhere they’ve been, somewhere they want to go, where they live, etc. I’ve seen this done with calendars, where people sign on whatever date has some meaning to them. A map is more in line with your theme.

QUESTION:
Wedding invitations- are these okay?
For a 35 year old man and 27 year old woman. I am known for being a little quirky and it is a very casual farm wedding. What would you think if you got an invitation that looked like this:
Dark purple cardstock with xoxo punched out of the middle of each side of the sheet using a martha stewart punch (leaving solid corners kind of like those little photo corners), with this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36734116@N02/4367963424/ on top of the purple on photopaper. There will also be an RSVP postcard with a black and white pic of the park where the wedding will be. All this will come in a dark purple envelope with the address written in gold ink.Do I need to add anything or is it already too much going on? What would you think if you recieved this invitation?
-
ANSWER:
Hi there. Your invitations are a bit cluttered and a lot to take in. Have you chosen your wedding colors? I would suggest using 2-3 colors tops, make sure all font styles, colors and sizes are eligable for all of your guests. You have a very unique idea and that is great! If you are a quirky person you absolutely have to work it into your wedding somehow. I also suggest getting a color wheel (they can be found online) and compare the colors you are using to see if they flow together or contrast.http://www.weddingprofessional.samanthasanborn.com
I am a wedding consultant based out of MI. I hope this helped.

QUESTION:
What kind of photo paper can be written on with a regular ballpoint pen?
I am creating a wedding invitation package that is a series of photos with lettering on top of the image. The R.S.V.P card and the meal selection card must be written on by the recipent. What type of paper finish should I use where the recipent can use a regular ballpoint pen to write. Is there a special kind of paper for this use and where can I get it.-
ANSWER:
At Office Max, they sell Jet-Print Photo multi project photo paper, I purchased the gloss finish and thanks to my now 4 year old, I know for a fact that ink pens do work, no smears and quite permanent.I think that any photo paper would actually take an ink pen because you are running it through a printer that uses inks per say…
Great idea though for wedding invites : )

QUESTION:
Please can you give me ideas for photographic wedding invitations?
I’m a photographer and considering creating ‘postcard’ invites because I want it to be something I make and I think these will be handy for guests to stick to the fridge etc.The question is what do I photograph? I thought about something simple like ‘Wedding Invitation’ written in sand on the beach before a sunset ooor something like that but it CANNOT be cheesy
I don’t do cheesy and I am wondering if that would be a bit cheesy. I don’t want a picture of us on the front because I like to stay behind the camera
I dont want JUST a landscape photo
I do have the ability to add text/graphics and I’m pretty handy with all forms of digital editing
I am VERY open to novel/clever ideas
I am also open to ideas that are created entirely on the computer it doesn’ HAVE to be a photo/Thank you in advance but please no cheesy ideas!

QUESTION:
Does anyone know where I can view a photo of Jenna Bush’s and Henry Hager’s wedding invitation? Thanks.?-
ANSWER:
On August 15, 2007, Henry Chase Hager proposed to Jenna Bush on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine.[24] [25][26][27] Jenna met Henry during her father’s 2004 presidential campaign.[28] Their relationship became public when the two appeared together at a White House dinner for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in November 2005. Henry Hager is currently a graduate student in business administration at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. He worked as a U.S. Department of Commerce aide for Carlos Gutierrez and as a White House aide for Karl Rove.[29] He is the son of Virginia Republican Party former Chairman John H. Hager, who previously served as lieutenant governor of Virginia and as the U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary under George W. Bush.[30] The wedding occurred during a private ceremony on May 10, 2008 at her parents’ Prairie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, Texas. On June 21, 2008, President Bush hosted a wedding reception for Jenna and Henry at the White House. The guests included many Republicans, such as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. The United States Marine Band performed.[31]

QUESTION:
What do you think of my wedding invitations?
We are on a budget so my fiancee and i have made our invitations ourselves on the computer.
What do you think?
we both work so we neither have the time nor want to spend the cost of doing it by hand.its a small wedding only 20 people but wanted to send a little something out to them.
we have 2 one is just an invitation and the other is to the bridesmaids (who are both under 10)
she already knows and has accepted to be a bridesmaid. i just thought it was a cute touch considering she is 7
Thank you GettinHitched we did use adobe photoshop. i got some pictures off the internet and cut them out etc… using adobe photoshop and my fiancee designed the flowers in Illustrator. it only took us about 1 hour to do all the invitations.
Thank you for the tip i will change it to reception dinner to follow-
ANSWER:
These have turned out beautiful. Did you use adobe photoshop to design them? Or did you buy an Invitation kit? We’re considering making ours ourselves, but we also work a lot and don’t have a lot of time. Fiance has adobe photoshop and designed our save-the-dates already and sent them out, but if we could make something that looks as good a quality as that, then we’d rather save the money having them ordered and make them ourselves.

QUESTION:
How would I make these wedding invitations?http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.tgkdesigns.com/photos/0000/5258/500_Red_Traditional_Clutch_large.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.tgkdesigns.com/galleries/red%3Fimage%3D5258&h=500&w=500&sz=95&hl=en&start=23&um=1&usg=__0RSveuqSQbM8PabDNYp2yMe6r6Q=&tbnid=ksj3kH4yojC4WM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dblack%2Bwedding%2Binvitations%26start%3D18%26ndsp%3D18%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN
These are the wedding invitations we want to make..my question is if we buy 80 lb black card stock and 90 lb white card stock to lay on top of it would that be too light? I do not want them feeling cheap or anything..Also what would be the best way to make that pocket in the back of the invitation? Could we just fold up the bottom and use a thin double sided tape for the sides? Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
I don’t know that I’d use the double stick tape for the pocket. That could wear off pretty quick. You might want to try a small amount of rubber cement. The card stock should be ok for what you’re wanting to do. But, how are you going to attach the white to the black? I wouldn’t use regular glue (for this OR the pocket) just because you might get that swirly, textured feel to it once it dries. (Know what I mean? LOL. Sorry, I remember getting that kind of a result whenever I’ve tried to glue paper together.) I’d get some rubber cement and try it out on regular paper before you go out and get the cardstock for the invitations. That way, you’ll have some stuff to try it on before you do the final products.
BTW, I love those invites! They’re gorgeous!

QUESTION:
I’m interested in designing Wedding invitations as a career/hobby. Do I need to be a photographer as well?
I love designing save the dates, birth announcements and such. However, do professional photographers usually design these? I’m totally clueless. I’ve never had to deal with them directly. Right now when I don’t have anything to do I steal my friends engagement photos from Facebook and make mock save the dates etc so I have some kind of portfolio in case I do decide to get into this. But when people are looking for Wedding invitations, save the dates, thank you’s, birth announcements, etc do they usually supply their own pictures from the photographers or do I need to be a photographer and they pay for the announcements as part of a package? Like I said, I’m totally clueless so I’m really sorry if you think this is a stupid question! Hah!Also, do you have a special printer/paper to print everything or do you send them off to Kinkos or Vista or some other place?
Thanks for ANY information in advance!
-
ANSWER:
Good on you for wanting to get out there and do your own stuff! I am a wedding planner and can say the wedding industry is a lot of fun!No – you don’t need to be a photographer, there are some that do things like that but there are also people out there that jsut do the invites etc – google these and have a look at what other people do so you can get a good look into the industry!
People can submit their own photos – not everyone uses professional photos for invites and announcements, a lot will use a photo of them somewhere or doing something they loved! As for thank you cards – if they don’t have permision to use professional ones they may use others as sooo many people take photos at weddings you end up with sooo many amazing ones that aren’t professional!!
ALL THE BEST!

QUESTION:
Help with invitations?
I have two ideas for wedding invitations.Idea 1: I bought some gorgeous fabric on a holiday in India and I thought I could glue this to the front of the invitation. I saw some birthday cards that used this idea and they were very nice.
Idea 2: Creating ‘mini photo’ albums (in the old fashioned style with black pages) and printing (in sepia tones) small pictures of my grandparents wedding photos, my fiancee’s grandparents, my parents and his parents with the invitation message on the last page.
I had imagined not having actual photo alums but bkack card cover with black paper insede so it would be light enough to post. The costs would be the cost of printing the photos and cost of black paper and card. The fabric invtations would only cost the carboard because I have already bought the fabric. If I don’t use it for that iw ill probably turn the fabric into cushions.-
ANSWER:
Both of your ideas sound wonderful. I guess it would depend on the type of wedding that you are having. If it a more traditional wedding I would go with the second idea. If it a more modern wedding then the first idea would be perfect. I love the second though, it includes both family histories.

QUESTION:
L2 spouse visa without marriage photos or wedding invitation cards possible?
Hi all, I am in the states on an L1 and recently married my long term girl friend when she visited me last time here in the US. We did not make a big deal out of it and just took the free court ceremony and also didn’t do any wedding celebration because there was not enough time and money to do it. Now that I’ve read all the L2 visa requirements I’ve found that US immigration wants to see a full wedding picture album as well as invitation cards but I just don’t have that.
Does anyone has experiences if that would cause implications if she applies for a L2 visa or if there are any other ways to convince US immigration that our marriage is true and lawful?
Thanks a bunch.-
ANSWER:
Show them your marriage certificate.

I found this on theknot.comIts her save the date cards, but I was thinking of using her idea for invitations. So I suppose mine would be save the date/invitations lol. I really like the idea of the removable photos, while all the info is on the other paper.
What do you think?

ANSWER:
CUTE!!! I love it. Just remember that your wedding invitation sets the tone and gives most of your guests their first impression of what your wedding will be like. This would be great for an informal wedding, especially if it suits your personalities. But if you are having a more formal wedding, I would try to find a way to incorporate the idea into a more formal-style invite.

QUESTION:
Wedding Invitations- No inner envelope?
I bought a DIY invitation set from Michaels- http://photos.weddingbycolor.com/p/000/009/651/m/50752/p/thumbnail/148456.jpg
and it only has one envelope for everything. Do I need an inner and outer envelope? If not- where do I put the rest of the families names or “and guest”. Should I just buy bigger envelopes to put them in? Im so confused as to what to do so I really need help. Thanks!-
ANSWER:
You don’t have to have an inner envelope, really it just makes things more formal and allows you to put down the names of the invited persons so that there is no confusion. If you decide to go without an inner envelope you will have to address who is invited on the outside of the envelope.
For example: “Mr. & Mrs. Lester Schwinn & Family” or “Schwinn Family”You can also use response cards, by making it clear how many people are invited. For instance, “We have reserved 2 places for you”, that way your friends know when they are allowed to bring a guest, etc.
Hope that helps!!

i think photo editor isnt photo shopping am i right?-
ANSWER:
Photo Editor to me says basic fixing of photographs, normally ones that are well taken enough to not have to go into massive reconstruction of it. However, sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do.I’d say something like “Photo Manipulation Specialist” or something big like that. Just don’t go by the initials, which I just realized. PMS would definitely paint a different picture, pardon the pun, especially with you being female.
Photo Editing can be done in photoshop, but when I picture someone “photoshopping” something, it’s usually a substantial amount of manipulation, not your average bump the contrast and rotate a bit, fix a blemish or 2. Generally its more of a manipulation, and not an edit. An edit would be to fix something wrong, not changing the whole nature of the photo.

QUESTION:
How do I save a publisher file so as I can print it at a photo printing lab?
I have recently got publisher 2007. I have made up some invitations on there for my wedding with graphics and text and I would like to print them at a photo lab on 4×6 paper. But I am not sure how to save my file so I can open it on the photo lab computers and print it there.-
ANSWER:
You can ask your photo lab to explain how they want the file saved. A lot of shops will take a PDF file. If that is the case, you can “print” to a file (Adobe PDF). But you will still need to call the lab to ask if they want crop marks etc or which print profile to use. Hope that helps.

QUESTION:
I am tying bows on my wedding invitations…?
and I feel like I am doing this the hard way. Is there an easier way to get this look or do mine look fine?I don’t know how to make the bows look better and not so lopsided. Any better ideas or advice? Thanks!!
-
ANSWER:
Oh, they look really nice! They actually look good the way they are. However, if you want them to stay in place better,
the only thing I can think of is to fix the ribbons in place by putting a small dot of glue on left and right side on the back of the invitation and putting the ribbons on before it dries. It would dry clear and then you could tie the ribbons. You could line the dots and ribbons up with a ruler to make sure they’re straight. The draw back would be that it would be kind of time-consuming. If you have a spare invitation try this out overnight and see how it works.
