   what designers make pink wedding gowns (with pick up skirts and beading)?
   I’ve have been looking and watching wedding shows and I hardly see a pink wedding dress, esp one with beading.
   I was wondering if anyone knew of specific designers that make colored wedding dresses. Not just a colored ribbon or a colorful design. A light pink fabiric made into a wedding dress.
   If I knew a designer I could call up stores and see which stores this designer had dresses in so I can then try them on.
   Can anyone help.
   Also, is it impossible to completely dye a white wedding dress to pink?
   Is it outrageously expensive to see a dress you want and request it made in pink fabric?

   Who was the designer of a pink wedding gown on Say Yes to the Dress?
   I can’t remember, or find out, what episode it was, but, to me, the dress looked like a Lazaro. The girl wearing it looked young, pretty, and I think she was blond. The dress was pink and embroidered and had a big puffy skirt that had to be altered, as did the bust area. I think her family was there. Can anybody help me? What episode, and season, was it? Do you know the bride’s name?

     If I had done what I want to do now ,I would have worn Dark purple or red. I wore ballet shoes too. My husband and I made most of our own choices for the wedding. I am glad we did too. We have been married for 15 years. (Make sure you put the ribbon on them It adds a pretty effect ) Just remember ultimately it is YOUR WEDDING and you need to express yourself and BE HAPPY!

     I think if you are going to have so much color on your own gown, the best bet is to keep the bridesmaids gowns very simple. Pick a white or cream color, and get tea length gowns. In a white gown, the bride stands out because her dress is so bright among the black tuxes and colored gowns. If you wear a colored gown, omitting other colors will allow you to still stand out. SO, have the girls in white but not full gowns so they don’t look like wedding dresses, and have tghe guys in black tuxes with white vests/ties – except the groom, who could have a vest/tie to match your dress.

     You can check out Chique Boutique. When I had my gown made, I contacted them and had it made in red even though it wasn’t offered in that color on the site. I sent in my measurements and asked for them to make it red and they did. I loved the dress and it fit perfectly.

      It depends on how much “lace” you are looking for. There are alot of beautiful pink wedding gowns out there, here are a few samples. The bridesmaids dresses proved difficult to find with long sleeve, perhaps you can have them wear a short long sleeve jacket over them.

      My first thought was NO WAY, but then I looked at the picture, and it’s gorgeous! It’s not over-the-top pink, and it still definitely looks like a wedding dress. Go for it!

    I have a very light pink wedding gown, what would be the best colour choice for my bridesmaids dresses??

      a gold-ish tan color would look beautiful. i think a creme or white color would distract from you. if you go with a darker pink try more of a mauve color…something with a tan/brown undertone so your dress will really pop when you stand next to them. OR if you wanna b on the more dramatic side (but still have ur dress stand out) go with a really deep, dark, rich color. something like hunter green, royal blue, or a dark purple. just make sure it’s a color that will compliment ur dress yet isn’t too distracting from you. it’s ur day, so u want to make sure ur dress is the main focus.

      i was watching a wedding show the other day, and they offered a really cool tip. pick a color and possibly a fabric too, and let your brides maids choose their own dress in that color and fabric. that way they can each show their unique style while still going with ur color theme. just make a day out of it and go shopping with them, that way they can pick out a dress they like and you can approve of it before they buy it.

      It was only worn once for an in home wedding. The picture isn’t great but she talks about the pink embroidery and how it is strapless from David’s Bridal. So I compared the embroidery and it is the same. It is a size 16 dress (so about a 12 in regular clothes) but if you are smaller, it wouldn’t be hard to take in at all. The side swept gowns are the easiest to take in. I was so excited when I saw it. I hope you can go bid on this dress, it would be so reasonable for you!

    Opinions on wedding gowns please, pics included.?
    I plan on getting married in a year or so and have found several gowns online that I fell in love with.Now take into consideration I will be a third time bride, and am fifty now. I have always dreamed about getting married in a pink gown, but found some other gorgeous gowns in ivory as well.I am almost five seven in height and have a slender built at127 lbs.I don’t plan on wearing a veil, as I did that before, but maybe just a small tiara or a small pearled crown.
    Also this will be an outdoor wedding in the summer months, I chose these particular gowns because they weren’t too fluffy, ruffly and had too long a train for an outdoor wedding.

    the pink crayola ,it is a pretty gown hun, the only bad part is that Uhm, I’m pretty small on top and would have nothing to hold that strapless dress up with ,lol. Thats kinds why I shy away from strapless clothes,I am self conscious about being small breasted in the first place.

      The Gwenivere is my vote! As someone who is also small chested (32B) – the halters made me look even smaller than I was (although I originally thought it would make me look bigger); so from my personal experience I’d go w/ regular straps. I love the romantic look of this dress! Esp for an outdoor wedding. I actually found a strapless one w/ a built in corset which is enough to hold the dress up – ha! Since pink looks so great on you; if you have any maids – you could put them in pink instead; and it’ll compliment you perfectly. And/or find a great pink dress to leave the reception in. I agree the first dress option looks like Disney princess; maybe it’s because the model looks like she’s 15.

    I need some examples of gowns for my wedding?
    My wedding is scheduled on late June. It’s based on a colour theme of black and pink, which means that I’ve got to get a wedding gown with some light pink material or pink embroidery on it. I like a train, but not extremely long like Princess Diana’s, just a simple chapel one to show that it’s really a wedding gown.
    I like to mix tradition with current fashion, so if there’s a fashionable gown but still traditionally acceptable and has some classical hints in it, i would appreciate it.

      I have seen 1st-time brides use color in their dress.

      Second marriages use to be done quitely & without much a-do. But not anymore! You have lost love and found it again. I think that calls for a celebration!
      Do the wedding however you want, in whatever color you want.
      It is advised that a 2nd-time bride not wear a veil. I don’t necessarily go along with this, but I do think the veil covering the face should be reserved for the 1st-time bride. But that’s just my opinion.

      With you sewing your dress, you have sooooo many options. Have you chosen a design/pattern yet? (email me!) I made my first wedding dress, but then, there were only about 3 wedding dress patterns then.

      People either love this or hate it. It comes down to personal preference honestly- and it is truly up to the bride. I personally want to feel stunning on my day- and I’m sorry but flip flops will not accomplish that for me. HOWEVER, for many brides, enjoying their day has as much to do with comfort and being able to kick back and have a blast without the confines of uncomfortable shoes.

    Choosing a bridesmaid dress as your wedding gown rather than traditional? ?
    Do you know anyone who has actually worn a dress designated for a “bridesmaid” as her gown? I am getting married next summer and I think I want a light pink, tea length dress and nothing too fancy. I’m thinking about looking at bridesmaid dresses for myself as well since they seem to be cheaper and the styles are less traditional than wedding gowns.       I’ve seen people wear bridesmaid dresses as wedding gowns. If you are looking for a simple gown then this is a good way to go – I don’t see anything wrong with it at all. Just as long as you feel beautiful and comfortable.

    I asked this last night, but I only got one response:

    I LOVE pink. And I have fallen in love with an ivory mermaid style wedding gown that has scandinavian flowers embroidered on the bodice and at the hem. The flowers will have pink “whispy” details in the centre, and there is a pink ribbon at the empire waist. It’s very me.

    Well now we’re planning to have a Christmas themed wedding. I always wanted one, but I didn’t think it was going to happen, so I picked this dress because we were planning to get married in January. Now we’re having a Christmas wedding at the end of November, and I want to add some red details to my dress.

    I haven’t ordered the dress yet so I think I might get the embroidery done in a shade of red to match our theme (black, ivory and some shade of red) and then still do the ribbon in a pink shade to have have my signature colour included.

    What shade of red and pink will match together and be a bit Christmasy? A picture or exact colour names would be great!
    I was thinking of making the red shade (for the whole wedding) closer to burgundy and then the pink (on my dress) would be like a dark, dusty rose colour.

    The only pink in the whole wedding will be on my dress because it’s my fiances wedding too and he doesn’t like pink so I don’t want to stick him with a pink wedding.

    Thanks for the suggestion of the pink poinsettias, I’m not really a flower person, but poinsettias are my favourite (even though they are actually a plant). I might incorporate them into my bouquet.

      Your Wedding sounds like a dream come true!

      I would keep the dress as is, since that is what you fell in love with, besides the bride needs to stand apart from bridesmaids and decor! You will most likely regret altering your dream dress….

      As for a Christmas theme! This doesn’t have to mean a red and green theme! Since it sounds like an elegant affair you can consider Holiday themes in the following pallets:

      Ivory and Gold
      Ivory and Burgundy
      All Ivory
      Ivory and Deep Wine
      Ivory and Dusty Rose – but not really Holiday-like

      As you see the ivory part is important since your dress is ivory. If you choose white accents your dress will look drab or dirty next to stark white. Pink does not need to be incorporated into the decor that should stay unique to your dress and keep it pink!

      For a real Holiday feel just make sure you can perhaps incorporate a Tree or 2 in the reception hall/room and decorate it with wide ribbon and decorations that fit the color theme you ultimately choose. Use lots of candles!!!! And give out ornament keepsakes as your guest favors!

    Share your unique colored Western gown, themed (Gothic) gown, or traditional ethnic gown (colors, pictures, etc.)! I’m especially interested in traditional East Indian bridal wear, which I admire and think is gorgeous. Asian gowns in the traditional red are beautiful too.

    My favorite Western wedding gown colors are baby pink or red.

      My dress is a traditional wedding dress only the colour isn’t white or ivory. It’s a very faint pinkish peach colour.
      I’m in love with the dress because it’s just all around awesome. It’s from a fancy shop Ireland and was previously worn by my aunt’s ( aunt by marriage) sister on her wedding day. Both of us are the same size and colouring so it looks amazing on me.

      Mom took me to a bridal salon because I at first wanted the white wedding dress. but all the dresses I put on made me look like the corpse bride. I’m a brownish blond and I have very little colour to my skin so all the white dresses made me look terrible. Tanning is not an option because it would make me look fake and my burn nurse father would kill me.

    Would it look weird to have Indian style Mehndi hand decorations for a western wedding?
    I’m getting married on Saturday (registry office) and I have a friend who does the most beautiful mehndi designs – I’m thinking of asking her to decorate my hands for the wedding, but not sure if it will just look odd as its not an Indian wedding, I’m wearing a pink silk gown.

    I thought maybe a simple floral design – with some gold and pink sequins to match my dress?

    What do you think of these colors for a wedding?
    Mint Green, Chocolate Brown, and Champagne Gold. My wedding gown is a champagne color. I will be getting married in September, 2012. I think I might choose light pink roses for my bouquet.     The picture shows the sash as a pink rose, but my dress has more of a champagne colored sash. My dress is not pure white, it is more of a very light ivory.
    I am on a strict budget and most likely will end up doing a Saturday or Sunday Brunch reception to help cut costs. So I am looking for something to help go along with the brunch idea.

      You do NOT need a theme. Just go with a few different colors (perhaps champagne to match the sash and another color) and use those for the basis of your decorations, invites, cake, etc.

      As far as the season……that dress can be worn in ANY season! I live in the extreme northern part of Michigan and the brides here wear strapless year-round, although they do have to wear a jacket in the winter going from the car to the venue! But seriously, there is no “season” for that dress.

      The dress is very pretty by the way. Very simple and elegant.

    Pictures of DIAMOND WHITE wedding dresses?
    I am tan but I have very pink undertones. I don’t know whether I want to get my wedding gown in Diamond White (supposedly a shade darker than stark white) or a step down to a more off-white.

    Pictures would help me better understand whther I should go with more ivory undertones.

    I do not want stark white – it’s just too harsh for me!

      On that show on TLC “Say Yes to the Dress” they said that if you aren’t wearing regular white that Ivory looks best on pink undertones, Diamond White on yellow or Asian.

      Tell him that the white dress wedding trend wasn’t even a trend BEFORE (in the modern era) Queen Victoria (some rich people wore white but just to “show off” that they could afford to wear white, which got dirty easily and could wear it one day and be fine with it) before that women just wore their best dress (like Sunday best).

    I am getting married in June 08 and I an about 99.9% sure I am going to go with the Brittanya, but my major concern is I am looking between two colors, coral pink(bubble gum) and cameo pink(light pink).       That dress is beautiful and I am sure you will look beautiful in either the coral pink or the cameo. If you go with either you can go with a champagne colored dress. Sometimes the color is called
      “palamino”. Any neutral color will look great..just do not put your bridesmaids in pink/white/ivory and you will be fine. There is a bride on the Maggie site who wore this in the coral pink and she looked stunning!!! Congratulations and Good Luck!!!!

      I really like the antique gold, latte, bisque, or champagne for the bms. My sister in law had a fur collar on her dress for their wedding, and all of us wore burgandy dresses. I would have preferred wearing gold or champagne. Whichever color you decide on, definitely consider giving them freedom with the style, but keeping the same color choice. I think the main reason people are always scowling about brides maids dresses, is because they are all the same. But the thing of it is, that is not usually the case with our bodies. Unless of course, your gals are all size 2…then almost anything is flattering!

    What color dress should I wear at daughter wedding?
    My daughter is getting married in March of 2008. It will be a church wedding, in the afternoon. The bridesmaids are wearing fuschia (hot pink) floor length gowns. The groom and groomsman are wearing black tuxs. I want to wear a color that will coordinate with the bridesmaids. My daughter says champagne. Any help is appreciated.

      You want a color that goes well but is not the same as her wedding colors so you don’t completely blend into the pics. Youare the bride’s mom after all!

      Don’t wear white obviously. If you don’t have a problem with champagne I’d just wear that. It will make her happy and doesn’t clash with most skin tones.

      A paler tone (since her colors are fuschia avoid jewel tones) or something dark if it’s evening would work well. Green would look very nice and make you stand out well without distracting from the bride and groom since red/green are complimentary colors. If it occurs in nature you are always OK.

      Anything in the cool colors, especially something like a purple (or even blue) that has pink it in would let you stand out but still look like you belong and be beautiful. I wouldn’t wear anything pink or red or you are going to blend right in on the photos.

      I feel I must interupt on behalf of your future hubby.
      How does he and his mates feel about the whole white and pink thing? Its his day as well as yours and if it were me I wouldnt be too happy about being made to dress up like a show poodle all day. Unless you actually WANT to look like a poor mans Jordan and Peter Andre! I think a stylish black suit, a crisp white shirt and waistcoats all round is the way forward but let your man have some input too. I think you should have final say over what you and your bridesmaids wear but let him decide what he and his men get to wear

    Have you worn your wedding dress again? Where?
    I don’t mean for a second marriage, or anything like that! I mean as a formal or cocktail gown for a formal event. My wedding gown was light pink with lace (mermaid style), so I definitely think I could wear it again. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted the gown that I did!

    Lindsey…actually, you are misinformed. White wedding gowns are NOT traditionally a sign of purity. That is a common myth in popular Western culture. I was a virgin on my wedding day, and I wore a pink gown. Indian and Asian brides (who are often virgins) wear red. Blue is the traditonal color of purity. I *personally* don’t think that wearing my gown again will take away from my wedding. The wedding is over, and I’m a-OK with that fact! I don’t need to remember it. There’s more to marriage than the wedding, always remember that!

    I am having a themed wedding, it is along the lines of a midsummers night dream/fairytale cinderella type. I found a gorgeous light pink cinderella style ball gown wedding gown. I have told a few people and some say I should were white, others say that the pink would be perfect for the fairytale theme. Just wanting others opinions
