  Charles & Camilla went out together for quite a long while about 40 years ago but he took his time so she married someone else, they kept the affair going and eventually Charles married Diana (because she was an aristocrat and deemed more suitable) and the rest is history.

I understand the media in the UK talking alot about it, but do “we” really care that much? The news, E!, Vh1 talk about it everyday and Lifetime made a movie about Will and Kate..I don’t think people here think about Will or his fiancee that much for the press to be covering it that much. They don’t really cover any other royal engagements or even what the daughters of US presidents are doing.

  Bear in mind also the time difference if you want to watch it live. The ceremony is at 11 am and TV coverage will probably start about 9 am, which is 4 am EST, 3 am CST, 2 am MST, 1 am PST. So if you want to see the whole thing, plan for a day off and a VERY early night the day before.

The duchy of Lancaster is valued at hundreds of millions of pounds of year. Then there’s the Civil List. The Queen takes in almost 8 million pounds a year from that and Phillip takes in about 350 million pounds a year.
