Wedding Rings Sets

When y 00004000 ou decide to propose to the love of your life, you usually have an engagement ring ready when you get down on that knee and pop the big question. While choosing an engagement ring can be easily done, there are people who obviously think ahead and decide to get two rings at the same time. These bridal sets are often bought by those who want not only a better price for the set, which is usually the case when you buy bridal sets as compared to individual rings, but for those who want the wedding band and the engagement ring to look perfect together.

Where to Find Bridal Sets

There are a number of bridal ring sets on sale on a number of jewelry websites and these bridal sets all have beautifully crafted engagement and wedding bands on display. These bridal sets often have the same kinds of stones being used on the wedding band as well as on the engagement ring. Examples of such bridal sets that make the wedding bands blend in seamlessly with the engagement rings they are paired with are those rings that have distinct designs like those with criss-crossing diamonds or those bridal sets that have the same kinds of side stones on both the engagement ring and the wedding band.

These bridal sets come in a huge number of designs, stone sizes, settings, and prices. The easiest way for you to narrow down your choice to a few distinct bridal sets would be to set certain parameters on your search. You can narrow down your search by setting the price limit you have for the sets you might want to see. You can also narrow down your choice to fit certain types of stones, gem combinations or gem sizes. You can also try and tailor fit your search to the kind of engagement ring you might want, like narrowing it down to simply show solitaire ring bridal sets or yellow gold engagement rings in bridal sets.

Why You Should or Should Not Opt for Bridal Ring Sets

Before you buy one of the many lovely bridal sets you see on one of the many online stores and jewelry manufacturers online, you should think about the pros and cons of getting one of these sets instead of individual rings. One of the pros for getting one of these bridal ring sets for your wedding needs is the price of the set. These sets usually cost a whole lot cheaper than individual rings. They are also well crafted to look good together so your future bride does not have to worry about her rings not matching or looking awkwardly askew on her finger.

The cons to such a choice may be if you are planning on a long engagement and your future bride may change her mind about the style her wedding band is in. Since there are often trends that these rings follow from time to time, she might think her wedding band is not the style she wants it to be in once the big day comes.

Another con that bridal ring sets may present is the possibility that you cannot find a matching male wedding band for her wedding ring. Of course, you can ask the jewelry store where you bought such a ring if they have wedding sets instead of just bridal sets on sale and that can easily take care of that problem.

    • ANSWER:
I got my wedding set at Zales (www.zales.com).
It cost us 00 for a 3/4 carat princess cut with side Diamonds and a diamond band. Here is the link:

      http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2507608

Now it’s on sale for 9. It’s a great quality ring. I’ve had many compliments on it, and I love it! It’s also a really great price for that ring.

My husband got his ring at Gordon’s Jewelers for 9. It is a Tungsten Ring, so no engravings because it can’t be scratched. If you like the idea of his ring not scratching, I definitely recommend getting this ring. Here is the link for that one:

  6. QUESTION:
Good sites to find beautiful wedding rings? sets? M/F?
I’m getting married in Dec. My fiance and I cannot find any sites online that have beautiful, yet inexpensive rings. Does anyone have any reccomendations? We are hoping to spend less than 0-0. Thanks in advance.
I am not one to like just plain bands and I have large fingers as well as my fiance. So, something not too large, but, not just a plain gold or silver either. Just thought it may help to have this info.

    • ANSWER:
Try helzberg.com or kay.com. These are jewelry stores. One suggestion I have though is not to go to sites like Ebay, Bidz, etc… You want a brand new ring. Remember you will have to show this ring to everyone. You will have to wear it all the time. You want it to be very nice and new.

  7. QUESTION:
what are some simple wedding rings sets?

Something 00 or less. gold band and a small princess cut.

    • ANSWER:
The simplest are plain bands, one with a stone mounted. You can play price games with the size and color and quality of the diamond.

  8. QUESTION:
Are there any good websites to look at wedding rings?
I am looking for an engagement & wedding ring set online.
I have tried a couple of websites but they dont have a big selection,
I know going to the personally to a store would be better but I am just wondering if anyone has any idea
if there are any websites were looking at rings would be so much easier?
Maybe that have options.. like price range and things like that.

    Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
I will endlessly boast about this site: http://www.moissaniteco.com/

It’s where my own engagement ring and our wedding bands came from and we couldn’t be happier.

They have a huge selection of many different styles. The moissanite is gorgeous new stock with amazing fire and brilliance. It’s an added bonus most of their designs come in palladium which is a lot like platinum but much more affordable. You can get great value with this company, that’s for sure. They’re located in the US and they track any order you place so you know what stage of production it is in and when it has been shipped out.

I was nervous buying online, but they have a fantastic return policy in place, but we didn’t have to use it because we just loved the product.

      Happy shopping :)

  9. QUESTION:
What’s the difference between a wedding ring set and wedding rings/bands?
What is the point in having two rings, the set, instead of just the one? Is one for engagement and the other the marriage?

    • ANSWER:
      Hi there,

Wedding Ring Set include engagement ring and wedding ring as a set.

Nowadays, there isn’t really much difference between wedding rings and bands.

Generally speaking, wedding band is plainer than wedding ring.

      –Appealing Wedding Bands

  10. QUESTION:
What is the best way to get the most out of used wedding ring sets?
Getting a divorce…should I take the rings to a pawn shop, get an appraisal, try a cash4gold.com type deal, or ebay? thank you

    • ANSWER:
Pawn shops pay less than scrappers. Scrappers pay half or less than the value of the gold. Cash4Gold.com will rip you off, and ebay is full of insane losers. If I were you I’d take it to a jeweler, find out what they’re offering for it, and then figure its worth at least 3 times that much.

  11. QUESTION:
Where can i find cheap wedding rings?
my fiance and i are getting married in 4 days and we dont have alot of money were can i find cheap wedding ring sets that wont turn your finger green.

    • ANSWER:
You can get married without the rings… or you can get cheap ones (even if they do turn your fingers green) as temporary wedding rings, then search for better quality ones after the wedding. I’m just thinking that if you search high and low for the kind of rings you want now, you might just get stressed since the wedding date is so close. My wedding ring is sterling silver, about …I’m not really fond of jewelry anyway… it’s just so we have “wedding rings”. They still look beautiful, though not as pretty as expensive diamond studded ones, but it doesn’t matter for us.

  12. QUESTION:
when you buy a wedding ring set what are the rings for?
like 1.engagment 2.wedding 3.????? and is there 4 5 6 7 8 9???? i know there is three because iv been looking for one for my partner?

    • ANSWER:
I think the other one is an eternity ring.

  13. QUESTION:
What is the difference between engagement rings, wedding rings, wedding bands and bridal sets?

    • ANSWER:
Buy a bridal/wedding set! It saves you money and time! A bridal or wedding set is the engagement ring and wedding ring for the woman sold as 1 together. You can pull them apart and they are made to clip together. And they match!

Buy the bridal set and give the engagement ring to the woman and then tell her you already have the matching wedding ring for it.

An engagement ring is a ring given to propose (1 ring by itself. This is the BLING ring. The one with a big diamond 1-2 cts).

A wedding ring is plainer looking. Might have diamonds but wont have any big diamonds like the engagement ring does.

A wedding band is the same as wedding ring except a band usually means it doesnt have diamonds. And a wedding band is what they call a man’s wedding ring.

If you get engaged trust me buy the bridal set. ONLY get a bridal set!

My engagement ring was about (without the center diamond in it) 2,000 dollars and then another 2,000 to find a matching wedding ring to go with it. If my stupid (now ex) had bought a bridal set it was only 1,100 for both the wedding ring and the engagement ring (without the center diamond)! He would have saved almost 3,000 dollars if he had bought the set that looked almost exactly like mine.

  17. QUESTION:
Difference between Wedding set rings and engagementment?
Is the engagement ring part of the wedding set?

    thanks to all.

    • ANSWER:
in a wedding set, there are usually two rings. One of them is a larger ring, this is the engagement ring. When you present the ring to your soon to be fiance, the box goes to her as well. The second ring is the wedding band, it is smaller, presented to your bride during the wedding ceremony. Usually when you purchase a wedding set, it comes with a small case to hold the wedding band to keep it safe until the wedding. I am thinking congratulations??

  18. QUESTION:

  19. QUESTION:
Where in Melbourne can i buy a reasonably priced wedding ring sets?

    • ANSWER:
Wedding rings are usually made of Gold or Silver. These used to be called precious metals. However, because there are so many computers and microchips being used in other electronic goods today like televisions, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and Iphones and gold is being used in these it has become an industrial metal and much in demand. Hence it has become very expensive.

The story is that you are not going to get a set of wedding rings under a four figure sum anywhere in Melbourne. Have a look around the better known jewellers. The other suggestion that I could make is to have a look around the antique shops. It is amazing. Sometimes you can pick up a good quality pure gold wedding ring that someone has left as part of an estate and the family has decided to sell. You might consider using something like this rather than one of the modern rings.

      Cheers!!!

  23. QUESTION:
Where can I find 1999-2002 style Bridal Set Wedding rings?
I had an engagement ring from that era & really liked the styles they offered then. I had a 3 stone ring with marquee cut diamonds surrounded by lots of medium & small baguettes. I have looked on many sites & don’t care for the styles today at all. I am afraid of being ripped off by shopping on e-bay & do not want to pay someone a tremendous amount of money to design one that I know is probably laying around in a backroom somewhere.
Thanks for any help or ideas.

    • ANSWER:
Try looking in the Pennysaver, sometimes you can find some great deals, or in a pawn shop, sometimes people get rid of their jewelry.

  24. QUESTION:
How do I properly exchange wedding rings if bride has a band set?
My soon to be wife’s wedding ring is a 2 piece set: engagement ring and a wedding band. How do I exchange rings during the ceremony? Should she already have the engagement ring on, and I just add the wedding band? Or should both her engagement ring and wedding band be on the ring pillow and I put both on her? If so, one at a time or simultaneously?

    • ANSWER:
I’m assuming they aren’t soldered together. They are still 2 seperate pieces.
There are a couple options for the engagement ring during the ceremony.
Now, for the most part, the wedding band goes on the bottom of the finger with the engagement ring ontop (some old tradition of it being closest to your heart) So for the engagement ring:
      1. She can hand it to her MOH to hold during the ceremony and put it back on right after.
      2. She can put it on her right hand and put it back on the proper finger afterwards (this is what I’m doing)
      3. She can leave it on and just switch them around afterwards.
      4. She can put it on the ring pillow and have you put both on her hand. Personally I’m not a fan of this way because you give her the engagement ring when you propose and the wedding band when you marry. One should not be given at the opposite time. Does that wording make sense? lol

To me they look the same and i can’t tell the difference.. and I don’t care if it isn’t real diamonds……………… do you think it’s cheap? he’s not exactly rich and we are trying to save up money for a house…..he wants to buy me a real one but it won’t look anything like these cubic zirconia rings I’m looking at …….. for example

    here is the link: http://www.fantasyjewelrybox.com/rs1006.html

opinions please :) does it look fake to you??

    • ANSWER:
That ring looks quite big and gaudy, I’m not sure it would be the picture of quality. Oh, yes, it’s set in sterling silver, really not suitable for long-term wear and for such an important piece of jewelry.

CZ is fine as long as you understand what you’re getting. CZ is graded from A-AAAAA, you really want AAA and above in an engagement ring. Even then, CZ is prone to clouding over and can be scratched or chipped quite easily. It is very unlikely a CZ would have longevity, you would maybe have to replace it as soon as after one year.

I would still look to get a quality metal setting (Platinum, Palladium, even Gold), and then you can place a CZ in it and change it out as the stone wears out or to replace it with something harder down the road.

Take a look at the asha, it is really the best of the best as far as CZ goes, designed to replicate an ideal H&A cut diamond, See here: http://www.ashadiamonds.com/

And if you want to make longevity more of a priority, check out moissanite. It is a practically colourless, ideal cut stone made in a laboratory. It is incredibly hard and durable and actually has way more fire and brilliance than a diamond or CZ, See here: http://www.moissaniteco.com/

  34. QUESTION:
Tension set engagement rings: Do you wear a wedding band with it? Or do you wear your ring solo once married?
This is the general style of ring I’m looking at:

    http://www.moissaniteco.com/round-moissanite-modern-style-bybass-solitaire-ring-p-7578.html

Hopefully I can find a moissanite setting like this with a princess cut. I have my heart set on moissanite, so there’s no changing my mind on that one.

I know there are places to purchase tension setting sets like this one (http://www.robbinsbrothers.com/Engagement-Rings/Wedding-Set/Robbins-Brothers-i24094.ring), where the engagement ring and wedding band interlock. I love the style, but I can’t find that in moissanite anywhere. So what is everyone else with tension setting engagement settings doing?

    • ANSWER:
Can you just buy the setting that you like, and then add the moissanite in yourself?
And sure you can wear a wedding ring, you could get one formed to fit around the bottom of the ring as well.

  35. QUESTION:
What is the best looking wedding ring in this website?
In this link http://design.jared-diamonds.com/engagement-rings/Wedding-Sets/?Nic=0 *what is the best looking wedding ring set? I’ll give 10 points to the one who I agree with. Thanks

    • ANSWER:
      For sure:

      http://design.jared-diamonds.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-sidestones/ring/item_58-5743.asp

The problem is the diamond is of poor quality. You shouldn’t get anything less than an eye-clean SI-1 diamond in terms of clarity.

I got my wife’s ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:

      http://www.dbof.com/

Or you could check out these other online sources:

      www.WhiteFlash.com

      www.GoodOldGold.com

      www.ExcelDiamonds.com

      www.BlueNile.com

Blue Nile’s database is good, but they don’t provide you with photos or analysis reports (ASET, Isee2, B-scope, etc) of the diamond. I wouldn’t go with them for that reason.

      Happy hunting.

  36. QUESTION:
how to buy Wedding rings ?
OK… need help. So I’m trying to buy a wedding ring set cause I plan on marrying my gf. When I search for wedding ring sets they just show the womans engagement ring and the wedding band… where is the guys wedding band?? Am I suppose to buy myself a wedding band? Should it be the same as her wedding band?

Just to clarify… the engagement ring I give to her and then at the alter and stuff we exchange the wedding bands right??

    Please help

    • ANSWER:
When you search for wedding sets, jewelers take it as in the engagement ring and wedding band for women. You can find matching wedding band almost everywhere. You just have to type in wedding bands and it should show you pictures of both. More women’s then men’s I’m afraid. And yes the engagement ring is given to her first then the band at the ceremony. Also the bands don’t have to be matching.

Whether you get your rings separately or together is entirely dependent on your taste (if your fiance consults you or includes you on the planning of the purchase) and preference. Some women prefer to have a fancy engagement ring and a plain, simple wedding band. Others like to have their two rings match. In the case of the first, the gentleman could purchase the two rings at different times; in the case of the rings matching, it would be best if they were acquired together to ensure that the wedding band doesn’t go out of production before it’s bought. I have a matched set and the wedding band is waiting patiently in a safety deposit box.

As for the man’s ring, usually the bride pays for it, as it is her gift to him.

  38. QUESTION:
Can 18carat gold engagement ring and wedding ring setting be changed to white gold or platinum?
My wife wants to keep the rings that she got when we were engaged/married, but we would like to update them to white gold or platinum. Does anyone know if they can be dipped in a different gold and if so will it last. Also, any ideas what type of cost we would be looking at? Standard diamond ring with 4 small diamonds on each side and the wedding band has about 8 small diamonds in it as well. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Yes, yellow gold can certainly be dipped in rhodium, is it recommended? Some say no. It really will depend on the setting, normally stones aren’t removed. However, will it last, no, not permanently. The rhodium will wear, and you will need to redip. It takes years to wear down. Cost of a rhodium dip, 20-100 dollars. To buy a platinum setting and have it reset, could be 1000, if it were a solitaire only, then easily half that. Take to a jeweler and ask an opinion, be sure its a jeweler, not just a jewelery store. Look for advertisements in the phone book of a jeweler on site, these places will advertise same day work. A white gold setting would cost 500-700.

  39. QUESTION:
Hello everyone! Any suggestions on what kind of wedding ring sets to consider?

    • ANSWER:
I suggest get your ring from a wholesaler they have great quality and you only pay for your diamond not a name. At Tiffany & Co for example you 60% for the name. My ring was white gold brilliant cut 1 carat diamond with pave band my wedding band was also pave. Its absolutely beautiful i love it and it is really really shiny because of the pave on the side. we paid a good amount of money but i can guarantee you if i got it else were it would have costed a fortune.

  40. QUESTION:
Where can I find a women’s bridal set of rings where the engangement ring slips into the wedding ring?
I want to find a bridal set where the engangement ring slips into the wedding ring to make a pretty shape. Not rings that are one on top of the other.
I want it to slip underneath the wedding ring so the engangement ring is inbetween two sides of the wedding ring. I hope this discribes it well. :)
My step mom has a set where the wedding ring is like the petals around a flower and the engangement ring is the center of the flower.

  41. QUESTION:
Do guys have engagement rings too? Do they wear both the engagement and wedding ring after being married?
Do guys wear engagement rings too? And u know how a lot of times the brides engagement and wedding ring are a set, do the guy’s engagement and wedding ring match too? and do guys wear both rings after being married? Can a person buy all four rings matching?

    • ANSWER:
      It depends on the guy.

My husband laughed at the idea when I presented it to him. But my best friend (a guy) thought it unfair that only girls get engagement rings.

In the end, my best friend did get his engagement ring but with them they were going to use that ring as his wedding band too. Most guy rings are too thick to have two on the same finger and many guys dislike wearing more than one ring.

I would say that you should talk to your man and ask him what he prefers. He’s really the best person to answer these questions. Well, except the last question but I’m sure that you shouldn’t have a problem finding four rings that match. But remember that they don’t *have* to match. I promise that the officiant won’t throw a fit if they don’t match :p

      Good luck.

  42. QUESTION:
Do I have to solder my engagement and wedding rings together, or is there an alternative?
I have a wedding set that won’t sit well together. I like to wear them separately too so I don’t think something permanent will do. I’ve tried tape, rubber bands, and all sorts of weird things. Isn’t there a gadget for this? Serious replies only please. Thanks
    I you don’t know, don’t answer.

    • ANSWER:
      hi
i have never heard of such a thing. i think the only option is to solder the diamond engagement ring and the wedding band together to make it the diamond bridal set. i had bought my diamond bridal set from http://www.jewelocean.com , and i asked them to solder it together. they were great to do it without any cost.

  43. QUESTION:
    Is the wedding rings real?
Sorry i dont know a whole lot about jewelry. I just bought a 2 carat white gold wedding set from ebay. Only ! it was so cheap and i need to the rings cuz i wanna get married asap and its not like it cost much.My question is does this mean they are truly real? mostly like i didnt buy fake ones right? Thanks!

If you go to ebay copy
2 CT ROUND WHITE GOLD EP CZ WEDDING ENGAGEMENT RING SET
and those are the ones i got
Yeah we already live on are own and do just fine thank you very much

    • ANSWER:
As another poster indicated that is an electro-plated set of cubic zirconia. It’s costume jewelry, so no to answer your question, it’s not the real stuff.

Personally, I think it’s perfectly fine to get a CZ engagement ring if you like it and it fits within your budget. Those home shopping channels sell a variety of CZs under different trade names and many of them are set in gold or silver. They are a bit more expensive than the set that you purchased, but they will hold up to regular wear much better than an electro-plated set.

We buy these sets all the time for my mother because she LOVES giant rings (3ct and larger), but doesn’t want the stress of wearing a real diamond of that size and price. She has her giant rocks this way, but no stress associated with wearing them. It’s a perfect solution for her love of bling!

      Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!!

  44. QUESTION:
Just wedding band engagement ring sets?
I’ve been looking at bridal sets for a long while and I was wondering if anyone had run across a bridal set that was just two wedding bands?

    For example, This: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/antiquejewelrymall_2062_293862163

    and this: http://www.eternityweddingbands.com/assets/productimages/328e3ace-d7be-420f-bbf2-a6d431f40382.jpg

But them come together in the same set?

I just can’t seem to find a wedding ring I like that has a stone that is flush with the band. I don’t like the huge diamond that stick out of the rings.. :/

Thanks so much for your help!

Any site links or ideas are much appreciated!

    • ANSWER:
I couldn’t find a set like that at all – because one is a wedding band, the other an eternity ring.
You could just put them together if you like, but if you don’t want an engagement ring, just skip it, go with a nice wedding band, then have an eternity band added in the future at an anniversary.
Or, maybe consider bezel set rings, or tension set – the diamond is fairly flush.
      Other ideas…

  46. QUESTION:
What is the best way to clean my wedding ring set?
I just got my wedding ring set professionally cleaned. They also re-dipped, tightened the diamonds, and resized it for me. It looks BRAND NEW! How do I keep it looking clean and new? (I have a jewelry cleaner, but I was wondering if there was a better, or more natural cleaner? Or is the jewelry cleaner the best way to go?) Thanks for your help!

    • ANSWER:
I make jewelry for a living, and one thing that I used to have a problem with was keeping materials from tarnishing before I got a chance to use them. I ran across this tip and it works like a charm for the things you need to store but want to keep clean, including silverware: rub them with a very thin coating of Alberto VO5 Hair Dressing (the greasy hair stuff in the tubes – yes, they still make it!), then wipe your jewelry with a polishing cloth to remove any excess, and store each piece/kind in a Ziploc bag that has all of the air pushed out.

I’m assuming that you will be actually WEARING your wedding rings, though, and while this treatment will help them some, it will rub off rather quickly. I clean all of the precious metal jewelry that I wear regularly with either baking soda or mild toothpaste and warm water using a very soft toothbrush (the one I use is made for young toddlers). I just clean my rings at the same time I scrub my nails. I usually leave them on my hands to scrub them, but remove them once a week or so to make sure I keep lotion and stuff out of any places on the insides of the bands, too, and when I do, I check for loose stones, etc.! I use the little drain basket for my contact lenses in the sink to keep them from getting dropped down the drain!

By the way, a thin coating of VO5 applied to clean hands before working on the car or anything else really dirty or greasy also helps enormously to keep hands and nails from getting grease or grass stained and makes clean-up a breeze afterwards! I used to hate changing the oil or anything in the car cuz I always got grease under my nails and couldn’t get it out. Not any more! =)

  47. QUESTION:
Engagement ring and wedding band that fit together?
I’ve seen engagement/wedding ring sets that fit together to make one ring, but I can’t find it anymore. Has anyone else seen this? If so, could you provide a link? Thanks so much!

    • ANSWER:
At Kay Jewelers or J. B. Robinson Jewelers, such bridal sets are called “wrap” or “enhancer” rings. If you go to any Kay or JBR, just ask and they’ll show you what you’re looking for.

If you aren’t a fan of Kay Jewelers, I’m sure most other jewelry stores offer the same merchandise as well, as it’s becoming a popular style.

  48. QUESTION:
What’s the best way to sell an old wedding ring set?
I have a wedding ring set from my first marriage (many years ago) that I would like to sell. What is the best option I have to sell it and make the highest $ amount.

    • ANSWER:
You could try craigslist.com if you want to sell it locally. It doesn’t cost anything to post an ad. Or you could sell them on ebay.com which requires a small fee but you can get bidders from all over the world and the price could go as high as people would be willing to pay for it.

  49. QUESTION:
Where can i find a good deal on a wedding ring?
I am having trouble finding a good price on an wedding ring sets. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    • ANSWER:
exboyfriendjewelry.com Their motto is “you don’t want it, and he can’t have it back.” Its actually used jewelry. As far as used goes, e-bay, pawn shops, and that site all have good deals, however if you don’t want a used one, and I wouldn’t blame you, you can actually get them at wal-mart or target. I know it may sound a little tacky but they actually do have new, quality pieces at “everyday low prices” :) Congrats!

  50. QUESTION:
Do you think it is disrespectful to want to buy a new wedding ring set?
When we got married my husband bought my wedding ring. It is one wide band with diamond in the middle and smaller ones on the side. It has to be worn alone because of the make can’t find a band to go with it. I was thinking about buying a new set ring and band and wearing the one I have on the right hand. I don’t want to be disrespectful though. I have not mentioned this to him, I wanted to get more input. Any Suggestions?

    • ANSWER:
      How long ago was this?
If it was 5-10 years or so, why don’t you talk about getting a new ring for an anniversary? Actually talk and have a conversation about it though.
I don’t think it would be rude. It’s also possible to use the diamonds in your ring, maybe add more if you want, and just change the setting entirely.
