Wedding Venues In Kent

The other point that Cooling Castle offers to their partners, which is a bonus to the photographer also, is a Toastmaster. The Toastmaster will organise and manage the day, making sure the day progresses as smoothly as probable for all concerned and leaves the couple more in a position to loosen up. The Toastmaster also helps the wedding photographer in gathering up the friends for the group shots. Cooling Castle is an effortless venue for group photographs as there is nowhere really to “wander off” to.

The castle by itself, upcoming doorway to the tithe barn alone, is the home of the entertainer Jools Holland. The Castle towers themselves present a amazing backdrop to the wedding pictures. The gardens are major and fantastically preserved and this is in which the vast majority of the group images will be taken. There isn’t a single element of the garden that isn’t photogenic with a gazebo, occasionally utilized for out of doors weddings, which can be used for more informal group photographs. It also helps make for a wonderful confetti shot as the visitors can be organized on the actions and can therefore surround the few.

At Cooling Castle Barn you have the selection of both keeping the ceremony outdoors beneath the gazebo or inside of in the spacious ceremony area. A beautiful attribute of the room is the bride makes her entrance down a flight of stairs at the rear of the area. This presents all the guests a wonderful watch of the arrival of the bride.

Soon after the group pictures have been taken the guests are cost-free to unwind while the couple and the photographer expend time taking a lot more exclusive and romantic shots all around the castle and grounds. The friends are then identified as to the marriage ceremony breakfast by the toastmaster. When all the guests are seated and in spot the toastmaster announces the newlyweds arrival. The minstrels’ gallery is a wonderful vantage level to get photos of this and also a excellent group shot of all the visitors seated within just the attractive tithe barn.

Employing huge apertures to create stunning wedding photography is so basic even a novice can do it. A lens with a vast aperture, these kinds of as a 50mm 1.four prime, can produce a gentle blur in the qualifications allowing focus to stay on what it essential in the shot.

Utilizing a flash can spoil a moment, and fortunately there is an alternative. Opening the aperture of your digital camera lets far more of the light that is currently present in the space into the camera, resulting in brighter, happier photos.

Organic light can be a problem for photographers, but shooting in all-natural light is occasionally unavoidable. More light can be let into the digital camera when the aperture is widened, with the facet influence that depth of area will shorten. This can induce the track record to come to be blurry, which can be extremely appealing if the objective is to preserve focus on a subjects deal with.

The f-avoid of the digital camera controls the width of the aperture, the opening that will allow light into the digital camera. The reduce the f-avoid, the wider the aperture will be. Utilizing a very low f-halt will end result in a brighter image.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Are there any wedding venues in Kent or Essex that will allow our Pet dog to attend our wedding?

    • ANSWER:
To be perfectly honest I think that your best bet would be contacting the venues that you are interested in directly to ask them this question yourself. I know that my friend wanted to do this but the venue that they had booked would not allow them too. Also many venues have rules which they often change on a regular basis so asking the venues directly will give you a definite answer and you will know where you will stand

  2. QUESTION:
Does anyone know of wedding venues in Kent which allow you to provide your own food? (Self catering venues)!?
I have found only one venue in Maidstone (Kent) which allows you to use a caterer of your choice.
Are there any more I am not aware of?

    Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
you will probably not find any venues where you can provide your own food. all wedding venues in the uk require the caterers to be licensed and insured which means that people cannot self cater their weddings unless they are professional caterers.

you can find other venues which will allow you to choose your own caterer, but they will stil have to be professionals. if you care to share where in kent you wish to have your wedding (towns and cities) i may be able to help you with some suggestions of places which allow you to choose your own caterer.

There is also somewhere in Kent that I found when I was looking that let you get married and have you whole reception in a woods, which they could make look all pretty with fairy lights and gazebos and a tree house etc. Also you could get married in Willesbourgh windmill in Ashford. 14. QUESTION:
    Wedding ceremonies and venues????
I am getting married abroad in october but not everyone can make it! I would like to have a ceremony here (not religious) so that everyone else can experience my happy day. Is this possible? and if so does anybody know of any castles (or similar) in the kent area that will hold a wedding??

    • ANSWER:
try a Humanist Ceremony in the UK. They are non-religious and non-legal, meaning you can write your own vows and have the wedding wherever and however you want. They have celebrants all over the UK – I’ve attached a link below.

      Good luck!

  15. QUESTION:
Wedding venue in SouthEast England that allows no alcohol!?
I’m getting married next summer and as both my fiance and I are religious and non-drinkers, we don’t want to be supplying all the drinkers with alcohol all night. We’re trying to find a suitable venue which will supply catering but will be happy to not supply wine with the wedding breakfast. It seems everywhere is out to make their money from alcohol!
I really want a nice traditional wedding (manor house/hotel/white dress/flowers etc) in Southeast England (London/Kent/Essex/Hertfordshire/Surrey) but just minus the alcohol! We’re only having about 40 guests too – anyone know anywhere?!?

    • ANSWER:
These venues can’t force you to have alcohol. Any venue should be able to supply food without the booze. When I got married in Norfolk, we were not forced to serve wine or booze.

  17. QUESTION:
can you hire a field for a wedding marquee?
can you hire a field (or just the grounds of a venue) for a wedding marquee and does anybody know of any fields for hire in Kent?

    • ANSWER:
Can I suggest that you contact farms rather than look for random fields. I say this for 2 reasons.

      1. It’s possible that the owner will have hired the land before and can assist and instruct you.

      2. If it’s close to farm buildings then it’s likely to have facilities such a vehicle access, electricity supplies, water supplies etc that you can use and tap into.

Also, contact the marquee hire compaies based in Kent and ask them where they have pitched their marquees before. If any one knows of land for hire for marquees then they will. I’ve had quotations from a few companies in that area before. These guys were very helpful: http://www.countymarquees.com/

      Good luck!

EDIT: Okay I’ve just found a great tool for you. This map shows all of the venues that County Marquees know will accept Marquees. Most are hotel gardens but Honnington Farm Garden and Squerryes Court could be just what you are looking for – http://www.countymarquees.com/venues.htm

  18. QUESTION:
I am on a tight budget for my wedding but my reception venue has horrible chairs and they need to be covered ?

  19. QUESTION:
Is it silly to wear a big dress for a destination wedding?
When I meet with my designer I keep looking at her line and finding gorgeous ball gowns, and I almost want one for my wedding. I think it would be odd though, as its a destination wedding and has to be transported. And well the dress I think would be odd for a wedding with only 70 guests, etc.

The venue is Leeds Castle in Kent, England. So I guess that the venue would accommodate it, but is it odd to have the whole big gown during a d/w?

    • ANSWER:
We were married on the beach, and there were 33 people there, including my husband and myself. I had no intention of getting a wedding gown (same reasons you had stated), but once I started trying them on, I knew I was absolutely wearing a wedding gown. I ended up with a lovely chiffon gown complete with train…you get the dress you want.

I carried my dress onto the plane as my carry on….it was a pain, but worth it.

  20. QUESTION:
I want my dog to be there on my wedding day but everywhere says they are not allowed any ideas?
I thought i could have the reception at a relatives house but I am having trouble finding a venue for the ceremony. I dont want a registry office. I want somewhere cheap. I would love my dog there as he is part of the family now. Photographs are important to me so i would like somewhere that looks good inside aswell as out as you cannot be sure of good weather. I would prefer somewhere in Essex or Kent but am prepared to travel for the perfect venue. Somewhere cheap, picturesque and will allow my dog- Is this impossible?! Help!!!
Hi, groom here. My fiancee just told me about this. Let me say thanks to those who took the question seriously, to all you others grow the f**k up. Its my dog as well and if I’m getting married once in my life I want it personal to us. Our dog is part of our family, and if you can’t help or at least be polite keep your poor witticisms to yourselves. You really are a bunch of imbeciles.

    • ANSWER:
First of all, congratulations! Second of all, it’s your wedding, you can do what you want! Ignore the terrible comments, some people just can’t keep their rudeness to themselves. May I suggest a park? They usually charge a relatively small fee for use of a particular area. Also, since the reception might be at a relative’s home, could you also have the ceremony there? It’s really just an extra 30 minutes. Perhaps you could spruce up the back or front yard for photographs. Just make sure you’re responsible and set up and clean up after yourself so you’re not a burden to your relative.

I’m getting married in Montcalm County MI and am looking for a cheap venue to do it at.?
This is my second wedding, so my man and I are on our own paying for the wedding and I want it to be kind of formal since this is his first wedding, but we need somewhere cheap to do it at. We can also travel to Kent county for the wedding. Does anyone from this area have an idea?

    • ANSWER:
I am not from that side of the state, but on the East side are pretty beaches, county parks, someone that has a nice back yard.

  22. QUESTION:
Cake designers in London that will deliver to kent.?
My fiance and I are trying to get a hold on the idea of a destination wedding in the UK. We plan to take a trip at the end of May to put a final booking on hotel and venue, while we are there we would like to meet with a few cake designers (preferably in London because this is where we will be staying) Through Internet research we have found this woman, who looks good, but we have no first hand experience…

    http://www.maisiefantaisie.co.uk/home.html

If anyone has heard of them can you clue me in of their reputation, also if you know of any good cake designers in London you could recommend I would be very thankful!
We are considering either Hedingham Castle, Lympne Castle, or Hever Castle. We haven’t seen any unfortunately but the planner I spoke to highly recommends all three, and few other that I didn’t care for the looks of.

We are really hoping Hedingham is as much allure as it seems to in photos.

    • ANSWER:
Hedingham, Hever, and Lympne are all beautiful!! Any would be the perfect venue for your English wedding! I’m partial to Hever – it’s got so much history plus the grounds and gardens are absolutely amazing. Hedingham is very special too.

As for Maisie Fantasie, I haven’t tasted her cakes personally but I know they’ve been featured in several magazines and they’ve gotten great reviews. Did you ask your planner to recommend some cake bakers? They might have some great ideas too.
