     Bridal Expos are usually the best. I don’t know where you live, but in Charlevoix there is a HUGE fall wedding expo at Castle Farms. You can win a free wedding there at the castle. A tip to you, always go towards the Pink Apron tables (they are a vendor). I won a free honeymoon to Costa Rica and 20% off my invitations. You will have to sit through a demonstration, but you don’t have to buy anything. Pampered Chef is always a good choice to win kitchenware. Sometimes you can get discounted rates at certain hotels, but only if you know where you want to have the wedding. Good luck!

     I would try going to some wedding expos/conventions in your city. They do many contests during the day, therefore you’ll know if you’ve won within hours. Many companies will raffle many of their services during the day, all you have to do is visit their booths. You can win free invitations, dress, tuxedos, cake….

     I can recommend Occasion Creations, they do invitations and stationary for all events and they are very affordable. Great invitations with good prices. They will also work with your budget. Good luck.

    My fiance and I have been engaged for over 4 years and want to get married. My family wants a big to do but they can’t afford it and neither can I! A simple wedding there for just family costs about as much as everywhere else; Disney seems like a good place because our families live far apart so they don’t know each other very well and this would be a great, fun place for them to meet and hang out.

      i don’t know if it would help, but you can try going to www.theknot.com and click on the talk link at the top. they have all different types or boards, and i know they have one on budget brides and i’m pretty sure they have one for people wanting a disney wedding. you could always try that.

    I met steve my sophomore year of High School and if someone would have told me that the cute bad boy, carhartt wearing guy would have fallen in-love with the school-loving ,cheerleading, goodie too shoes girl, I would have told them they were crazy to their face. But here we are 6 years later waiting for each other to sign online, me sleeping on my phone, and Steve walking to a pay phone after 15 hour shifts; only so that I can talk his ears off about wedding plans and flower colors. (I tell myself he is listening). But so many don’t get to talk to loved ones at all in our similar situation, and some have lost their loved ones forever. So even in these small griefs we feel so blessed.
    The past couple years have not been the fairytale that was read to me in bed. The past few years have been a struggle, and line of lessons, and we have jumped over every hurdle thrown in our path, and walked around every pothole meant to trip us. I won’t whine about the military relationship lifestyle. IT IS VERY HARD, but the benefits of it outway any negatives, and I feel too blessed to even speak badly. I have learned at a very young age what sacrifice is, and what true love really is. Not the lustful love, but feeling of loving someone right down to their very core, even from thousands of miles away. And the main point that time is so precious.
    Many girls imagine their “big day,” and “prince-charming,” since they were little. I have never imagined my wedding day, but I have imagined my perfect man. And for some crazy reason God has blessed me with him so early in my life. While I haven’t been able to picture where we say, “I do,” all I see is walking towards Steve at the other end in front of our closest friends and family, wearing his Army blues and medals that he has worked so hard to earn. The love that I feel when I see this is imaginable. We will have our moment no matter where we are, but we want more then anything to have our happy beginning in Disneyland this August.

    I cannot tell you how hard Steve works for us as a couple, and this country. But I am not that girl thinking this is my day, and it is all about me. This day can finally be all about us, and our family. And after 46 days together during a 740 day time period, we are nearing the end of a really long time apart. It will be a celebration of the support of our family and friends, of our love, and finally the start of our life together; closer to finally being in the same place, at the same time. He will be home on leave from Iraq during this time, and spending time with our families in Florida would be a huge blessing. Steve deserves this time more then anything.

    I know finding a minute in your busy day, is a lot to ask. But please help us win this contest. It takes a minute to register, and your email is going to blow up with disney offers. But this means the world to us. And when I think of the times and risks during a minute that he may have risked his happy endings and dreams, for my freedom, as all the men and women in the military do, a minute doesn’t seem so hard.       also, although everyone wants their dream wedding, as a member of the military, you guys are eligable for a free wedding from the base chapel and chaplain of wherever he will be stationed when he returns home. if he is getting out, then you may have to just do whatever you are able to afford.

    I am a professional award winning wedding Photographer and I have been trying to find some happy medium with prices and the services that I offer, so that I don’t work at a loss all the time.

    I want to give a lot, but I also need to have a life as well, Each wedding is around 3 weeks work and I do mostly enjoy my work.

    So My question is:
    How much would you pay for your wedding photography and what would you expect to have for it?

    To give you an idea, wedding photography consists of
    Insurance, marketing and advertising, website updates and equipment.

    A wedding typically consists of:
    2-3 Meetings
    several hours of emails and telephone calls
    A day preparing my kit
    The wedding day (12 hours)
    4 Hours downloading and backing up the photos/video
    A week of photo editing
    Three days building a per view website and albums
    Two days album and image editing (as client requires)
    4-8 hours making a slide show
    2 hours ordering
    shipping packing and checking the albums when they arrive.

    A typical package would be
    a day shooting a wedding, all the digital negatives, a 70 page album with 70 pictures and a DVD slide show set to music.

      i checked out a few cheaper and more expensive photographers but i chose this one as i loved her work and the prices were reasonable, i was quoted less £540 was the cheapest but i do beleive you get what you pay for.

      Bridal Shows are usually chock full of contests where you can win things for your wedding. They are usually held at banquet halls and are full of vendors for you to sample. I work at a local banquet facility and at our last bridal show gave away a whole reception package (where the food+room, florist, bakery making the cake, limo, DJ, and photographer were all free) There was also a honeymoon being given away. But as another has said because 99.9% of brides are also looking at these they’re about as easy to win as the lottery. So I’d say keep your eyes out but don’t count on it and budget your wedding as if you weren’t winning any of these free contests.

    I’m trying to win the wedding of a lifetime sweepstake that 105.1 and Fox news have going on for my brother-in-law. He is more than deserving! Heres a bit of his story: Paralyzed from the waist down at age 18, hit head on by a drunk driver at age 21, and majorly taken advantage of by a so-called “friend” who took him for 0,000+….he is now engaged to a wonderful women whose story is just as upsetting…this couple deserves it more then anyone I know!!! Please help!! We have all the clues except Tuesdays…does anyone have it???

      It is so nice of you to want to do well for your brother-in-law!

      Yo may not be able to get this tidbit you need. The Radio station’s website doesn’t have the clues on it.

      There may be a chance that someone else is missing a clue that you have that they would be willing to exchange with you so you both could enter, but a person that has all the clues wouldn’t be willing, because it would make their chances less.

      Another option is to contact the TV station to see if they would like to a human interest story on your brother-in-law. They may be able to get wedding services providers to step up and help a needy couple in exchange for some TV time.
